Overview: Responsible to plan, organize, direct, control, and lead assigned business unit; specialize in development, planning, and leadership; operate within broad objectives to ensure optimum utilization of capital, manpower, and equipment for the assigned business unit.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Manage activities of a department including but not limited to planning, problem solving, staff development and communication.</li> <li>Execute function/area objectives that support continuous improvement.</li> <li>Manage professional, exempt, and non-exempt non-bargaining and bargaining unit employees. Responsible for special projects and/or problem resolutions.</li> <li>Provide effective and efficient solutions to complex business problems.</li> <li>Provide high level oversight and leadership.</li> <li>Other Duties may be assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Departmental Summary / Preferences:</strong></p> <p><strong><u>Highly Desired Qualifications/Skills:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience using Lean concepts and methodology.</li> <li>Project management experience.</li> <li>Functional understanding of claim and payment processes within the health care delivery system.</li> <li>Broad experience in customer service and/or relationship management roles.</li> <li>Prior experience managing direct reports both onsite and remotely.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Additional Required Qualification:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Some travel throughout Michigan is required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in related field required. Master's Degree in related field considered a plus.</li> <li>Five (5) to ten (10) years&rsquo; experience in related field including experience in a leadership role.</li> <li>Ability to work under general direction.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li> <li>Good analytical, organizational, planning, verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> <li>Valid and unrestricted driver's license is required.</li> </ul>
