Overview: <p>Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and leading multiple business units. Set the vision and identify strategic direction for the business units. Support corporate goals and objectives.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Oversees the operations team to deliver results for the account, including enrollment, account administration, and servicing.</li> <li>Identifies repeated issues and leads the process for defining solutions, with ideation from across the account team and leads implementation of solutions with the help of the Project Management Office.</li> <li>Ensures alignment of operations with business group strategy and advises strategic development through close collaboration with Health Plan Business leadership.</li> <li>Provides effective and efficient solutions to complex business problems by established and applicable business theory, analytical tools and creativity.</li> <li>Partners with enterprise vendor management teams to monitor vendor performance as relates to product delivery and address key concerns or issues.</li> <li>Reviews the product benefit structure and supports the Health Plan Business and Health Care Value product teams in ideating, aligning with the account and executing changes.</li> <li>Leads key communications with account management, acting as the main point of contact on all issues related to the account membership.</li> <li>Overseeing and delegating work to ensure that specific performance guarantees are met and escalates when a guarantee is at risk.</li> <li>Analyze relevant facts needed to inform and provide updates to the account on key product performance, highlighting areas of strength and opportunities, with proposed ideas on how to improve opportunity areas.</li> <li>Partners closely with the internal operation groups to manage and prioritize across the account needs, ensuring efficient execution by managing across operating groups.</li> <li>Responsible for keeping abreast of all BCBSM's products, programs, administrative policies and procedures.</li> <li>Participate in various forms of community events to support positive corporate and marketing images.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required. Master's Degree in related field preferred.</li> <li>Seven (7) to ten (10) years&rsquo; experience in related field including experience in a leadership role (e.g., customer, staff, etc.). required.</li> <li>Excellent leadership, decision making, analytical, organizational, planning, presentation, problem resolution, sales, verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interface with management.</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of marketing concepts, sales methodologies, management principles and the health insurance industry.</li> <li>Must possess strong initiative and ability to anticipate needs and sense of urgency. Strategic thinker with broad understanding of business preferred.</li> <li>Detailed understanding of retention efforts and sales processes.</li> <li>Strong strategic orientation with ability to develop plans to deliver expected results</li> <li>Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
