Overview: <strong>The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for platform business administration and non-code based configuration of the Salesforce Service Cloud and Communities leveraged by the Blue Cross Individual Business Unit (IBU). The IBU Salesforce ecosystem supports internal and external sales,&nbsp; partner engagement, operations, and Salesforce development activities. This critical role will work with the IBU Salesforce Team and IT partners to design and configure the Salesforce platform for our end users, and will support general Salesforce operations activities. This position will report to the IBU Salesforce Business Administration team but must be able to also work collaboratively with the, end users, and IT partners.</strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.</li> <li>Supports business requirements gathering, workflow analysis, gap analysis, coordination of test case development and execution.</li> <li>Documents requirements, assists in the definition of scope and objectives, and formulates system administration changes.</li> <li>Analyzes and maintains system documentation and business policies/procedures.</li> <li>Works with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement new features.</li> <li>Create and manage users, profiles, roles and permission sets in Salesforce.</li> <li>Customize fields, page layouts, record types, reports and dashboards.</li> <li>Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.</li> <li>Assist in data import/export/updates, system customization.</li> <li>Provide day to day end user support and assist users with best practices to improve and increase their knowledge of Salesforce.com.</li> <li>Assist with training end users on the use of Salesforce.com.</li> <li>Maintain data and system security and integrity in Salesforce.</li> <li>Create training and user documentation, and maintain ongoing documentation processes as business needs evolve or features are added.</li> <li>Troubleshoot Salesforce issues and escalate as needed.</li> <li>Ability to incorporate industry best practices and Salesforce base capabilities into ecosystem design and functionality.</li> </ul> <p>Accountable for and manages the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of project(s) with moderate to complex scope and deliverables. Project scope is at least two years planning to implementation and may impact one or more business unit/function. Project scope typically impacts one or more of the following: process, system, function, product and/or service. Develop detailed project plans and schedules, identify goals, objectives, risks and resource allocation.&nbsp;Monitor project status for significant deviations in quality, cost or schedule. Interface with various departments, senior management and external individuals providing value and support for continuous improvement.&nbsp;Support development of project budgets and update, as required.&nbsp;Coach and mentor team members. Provide feedback on team performance.&nbsp;Ensure that expectations are developed, controlled, and executed in a timely manner.&nbsp;Represent leadership staff at meetings in their absence.&nbsp;May provide supervision to others.&nbsp;Other duties as assigned.</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in related field required.</li> <li>Minimum 2 years Salesforce platform&nbsp;administration experience.</li> <li>Familiarity with Data systems, best practices and operations.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Knowledge and experience with project management skills, tools and methodologies.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, within a team environment and with multiple priorities.</li> <li>Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems (e.g., Access, Excel and Word).</li> <li>Ability to work closely with the technical support team in understanding and resolving systems issues.</li> <li>Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures of sales marketing and database systems.</li> <li>Ability to develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures.</li> <li>Understands concepts and applications of CRM Business System configuration and technical/functional capabilities.</li> <li>Demonstrated&nbsp;ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upward with a positive attitude.</li> <li>Five (5) or more years' experience in related field.</li> <li>Three (3) years project management experience in health plan operations or related field.</li> <li>Project Management Professional Certificate preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of program management preferred.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Salesforce Administrator Certified.</li> <li>Strong familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platforms.</li> <li>Marketing Cloud Certified a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge of program management preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of insurance industry a plus.</li> <li>Salesforce Marketing Cloud knowledge a plus.</li> <li>Experience with APEX, APEX TRIGGERS, VISUALFORCE, HTML, JAVA, SQL, SOQL, Workbench a plus.</li> </ul>
