Overview: <strong>Departmental Summary<br /></strong><br /> <ul> <li>Works with all stakeholders to drive the strategic direction and feature requirements for BCBSM digital properties. Consults with stakeholders to develop a strategic roadmap for product success. The Product Owner will need to understand the goals and objectives of business stakeholders and the needs, goals, and objectives of the audience to develop a strategic roadmap for product success. Responsible for leading internal design and development teams to execute on the roadmap through its entire life cycle.</li> <li>Responsible for the business success of digital properties (such as and/or enterprise-level feature sets/platforms (such as Provider Search). Sets the strategic direction, oversees creative and/or technical implementation strategies and the ongoing operation of the digital properties from a strategic perspective. Works with business stakeholders and the Digital Experience leadership to understand the business requirements, measures of success, and key performance indicators, and works with design and development teams to ensure that the property achieves the desired outcomes, over time</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <strong>Departmental Preferences</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>Defines objectives, goals, critical success factors, and measurement strategy for digital products (e.g. Specifies product requirements based on market and user experience research and business-segment needs. Creates and manages the Product Roadmap.</li> <li>Manages the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities Adapts product goals and objectives to changing business and user needs. Monitors and communicates product performance against defined metrics. Acts as the Product Owner for the product team to convey the vision and maximize the business value delivered by the team. Participates in team activities including release planning, sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews/demos, retrospective and other scrum-related meetings</li> <li>Engages with stakeholders to understand needs, interests, and requirements; anticipates future needs and consults on best practices and inclusion of new requests into the Product Roadmap.</li> <li>Leads product innovation initiatives; participate in broader Digital Experience innovation initiatives&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong><strong>Departmental Requirements<br /></strong></strong><br />"Qualifications"<br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or equivalent. MBA preferred but not required.</li> <li>Three plus years of software marketing/product management experience.</li> <li>Experience within the Agile methodology strongly preferred.</li> <li>Experienced digital professional with practical experience bringing web sites or apps to market. Agency experienced preferred.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of the product development, management, and evaluation process. Digital product management experience strongly preferred.</li> <li>Requires business acumen, organizational assessment, creativity, interpersonal skills, and quantitative analytical abilities.</li> <li>Must be an outstanding communicator and be comfortable interacting with a diverse group of technical and non-technical people including senior executives, sales, marketing, development, operations, customers and business partners.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to influence across all levels of an organization and to gain buy-in for plans.</li> <li>Marketing and business acumen</li> <li>key insight and ability to connect the dots for self and others.</li> <li>Mastery of multiple channels and understanding of right channel, right customer.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.</li> </ul>
