Overview: <strong>Plan, develop, test and implement IT system solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity as well as support business strategies and goals.&nbsp; Identify and communicate business needs and translate business requirements into technical system and functional specifications.&nbsp; Support one or more highly complex or critical business processes/systems and may require design or integration of technical solutions that may cross multiple functions of the business. Project team member for projects large in scope and high complexity; may be enterprise-wide.</strong>
Responsibilities: <br /> <p><strong>Corporate Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <div>Participate in business short-term and long-term planning sessions to ensure understanding of business goals, direction and business requirements; provide input from an IT systems perspective.</div> </li> <li> <div>Develop costs estimates for the planning of new systems/enhancements for assigned systems. Serve as a liaison between business areas and the IT organization and vendors in coordination with project managers to provide technical solutions that address user needs.</div> </li> <li> <div>Translate business requirements into technical requirements.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Make recommendations for modifications or technical solution to increase effectiveness and efficiency.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Formulate and define system scope and objective based on user needs and understanding of business processes.</div> </li> <li> <div>Develop, write, and communicate systems design, functional system specifications and functional architecture analysis.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Ensure completeness of technical requirements and functional architecture analysis for the design and implementation of system business solutions.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Identify gaps or issues.</div> </li> <li> <div>Provide technical guidance on the business impact and opportunities, as needed.&nbsp; Understand and analyze customer&rsquo;s systems and capabilities to determine strengths and weaknesses and provide system improvements/ modifications.</div> </li> <li> <div>Review test plans and monitor testing process to ensure that business results are adequately tested with minimal risk.</div> </li> <li> <div>Develop user and/or system test cases and validate test results during testing as needed.&nbsp; Analyze testing results to ensure the solution meets the needs of the business.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Facilitate issue resolution.</div> </li> <li> <div>Document system modifications.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Develop system manuals, system training materials and system enhancement communication. Investigate problems and develop recommendation for resolution.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Gather data to support recommendations to address problems with appropriate contingency plans.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Provide technical expertise to resolve issues.</div> </li> <li> <div>Work closely with developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.</div> </li> <li> <div>Conduct feasibility studies and draft proposals for evaluation by appropriate users and managers.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>May develop business cases.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Provide input into expenditures based on the size, scope, and cost of hardware and software components.</div> </li> <li> <div>Stay abreast of new and emerging technologies.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Participate in the evaluation, selection and application of new and emerging tools and techniques as needed.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Analyze technology trends to determine impact to the achievement of business goals.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Identify issues and make recommendations based on impact of new/emerging technology or modifications to existing systems.</div> </li> <li> <div>Provide input for the development of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and/or selection of vendors.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Evaluate performance against SLAs and recommend changes for improvement.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Develop forecasts for services required from vendors.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Evaluate vendor performance against SLAs.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Ensure SLAs are achieved.</div> </li> <li> <div>Direct team members and foster a team environment.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Coach and mentor less experienced team members.&nbsp;</div> </li> <li> <div>Provide performance feedback, as needed as needed.</div> </li> <li> <div>Other duties may be assigned.</div> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.</li> <li>Five (5) years of relevant system solution development, testing and implementation work experience required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent analytical, technical, interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of business operations, systems requirements and IT processes.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, or within a team environment.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
