Overview: <p><strong>Responsible for performing specific actuarial related tasks under general supervision.&nbsp; Actuarial areas include but are not limited to valuations, financial reporting and forecasting, trend analytics, and pricing.</strong></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <div>Perform routine tasks, basic analyses and reasonableness testing.</div> </li> <li> <div>Prepare actuarial exhibits and regular reports as directed utilizing corporate financial data.</div> </li> <li> <div>Learn, use and implement basic programming and maintain analytical programs with limited direction.</div> </li> <li> <div>Utilize data management and structure techniques with limited direction and oversight.</div> </li> <li> <div>With guidance, present completed work and related implication to team members and internal clients.</div> </li> <li> <div>Participate in miscellaneous special projects to obtain exposure to various actuarial disciplines and techniques.</div> </li> <li> <div>Remain current on actuarial techniques, seek development and improvement opportunities and understand corporate/cross-functional objectives and cultural beliefs.</div> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Qualifications</strong> <ul> <li> <div>Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related area.</div> </li> <li> <div>Zero (0) to one (1) year related actuarial experience.</div> </li> <li> <div>Earned at least one (1) course credit towards the attainment of the FSA designation and is a member, in good standing, of the corporate Actuarial Student Program.</div> </li> <li> <div>Knowledge of actuarial methods and practices.</div> </li> <li> <div>Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.</div> </li> <li> <div>Ability to apply appropriate planning and prioritization techniques.</div> </li> <li> <div>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</div> </li> </ul>
