Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: Provide support for operating systems, applications, and other services and infrastructure as defined by departmental requirements. Maintain and monitor the overall server environment. Deploy upgrades and updates to existing and new technologies. Assist with enterprise base work initiatives and projects. Support multiple systems or applications of medium to high complexity. Consult with engineers and architects as needed.
Responsibilities: <strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br /><em>Other duties may be assigned.</em>&nbsp;<br /><br />Provide first level operational support and technical assistance for a server environment consisting of 3,000 Linux and Windows servers via phone, Skype, and email. Identify, investigate, resolve and escalate problems as needed. Gather data to support recommendations to address problems. Procure technical assistance to help in problem resolution if needed. Engage outside companies for troubleshooting and problem resolution assistance. Respond to queries regarding the environment and systems. Maintain the daily performance of systems. Document system modifications. Develop and update system and operational manuals and other documentation. Ensure understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and impact of work on the achievement of the service levels. Support achievement of SLAs. Stay abreast of new and emerging technologies.&nbsp;
Requirements: <strong>QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong> <br /><br />Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in related field preferred. One (1) year of relevant system implementation, support, and troubleshooting work experience required. Experience with Linux System Administration (Red Hat and SUSE) Experience with Windows System Administration and Powershell. Certification preferred but not required. Familiar with networking concepts, terminology, and protocols. Adept with using Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel. <br /><br /><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong>&nbsp;<br /><br />Strong analytical, technical, interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of business operations, systems requirements and IT processes. Ability to work independently, or within a team environment. Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
