Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: Responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and developing corporate strategies to support Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan&rsquo;s (BCBSM) competitive position, achieve positive business results, and improve the health and wellbeing of BCBSM's members. Make recommendations on consequential matters with long-term implications for the organization, including developing frameworks and hypotheses to address strategic questions, setting enterprise aspirations and targets, assessing strategic investments and partnerships, and evaluating the enterprise&rsquo;s overall portfolio of assets.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Propose and scope strategy projects with the internal strategy team and external consultants in support of enterprise priorities.</li> <li>Lead multiple strategic projects and manage work plans and key project milestones. Coordinate interactions between the strategy team and the business to develop strategies and translate those strategies into executable activities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Foster collaborative and supportive cross-functional working relationships, including engaging the senior leadership team in the development and prioritization of long-term strategies and acting as a thought partner with the business to make effective and timely decisions.</li> <li>Use primary and secondary research to assist in identifying opportunities and solutions to inform strategies.</li> <li>Oversee the development of financial models and analyses to support the creation of strategies and plans. Develop quantitative analyses and models, as well as the underlying data required, to inform strategies.</li> <li>Create executive level presentations and correspondence to communicate recommendations to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.</li> <li>Recruit, develop and retain high-performing talent to develop and maintain enterprise strategies.</li> <li>Perform other related duties as required.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Strategy, Health Policy, Business, or related field required. Master&rsquo;s degree in business or related field such as Economics or Health Policy preferred. &nbsp;</li> <li>Ten (10) years of experience in corporate strategy, consulting, investment banking or related experience.</li> <li>Previous experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of corporate short term and long-term strategies.</li> <li>Ability to anticipate scenarios and develop strategy initiatives connected to the corporate strategy while remaining open minded to alternatives.</li> <li>Expert oral and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver complex information in clear, concise, and relevant manner.</li> <li>Expert problem-solving capabilities.</li> <li>Strong strategic orientation with ability to develop plans and deliver expected results.</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate creativity, act independently, and respond to highly ambiguous situations.</li> <li>Ability to assess business outcomes and risks to determine an appropriate course of action.</li> <li>Ability to credibly consult with executive and line leadership as well as leadership within external partners.</li> <li>Ability to lead others and manage their performance.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <div><em>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, among other grounds, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, protected veteran status or status as an individual with a disability.</em></div>
