Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package

Overview: <p><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting financial information.&nbsp; These duties may include variance analysis, account reconciliation and preparation of various financial reports and financial statements. Also, responsible for resolving customer inquiries and problems.&nbsp;</span>Processes financial transactions including journal entries, invoices, cost allocations, recovery cases, escheats, etc.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Reconciles account activity to the general ledger.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Assists with the preparation of various financial information such as budgets, department performance measures, impact studies and business cases to allow for timely, accurate and meaningful decision support.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Assists with preparation of various financial or regulatory reports and/or statements for management and/or parties external to BCBSM (e.g., auditors, customers, providers, BCBSA, FEP, OFIS, etc).&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Assists in developing and documenting desk level procedures for the department.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Responds to customer inquiries and resolves problems.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Interfaces with various departments and management.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Responds to ad-hoc requests and inquiries.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Performs other assignments, duties or functions as assigned by manage</span></li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field required.</li> <li>Zero (0) to two (2) years' experience in related field.</li> <li>Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.</li> <li>Strong developed verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.</li> <li>Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, etc.).</li> <li>Working knowledge of PeopleSoft general ledger and mainframe systems.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
