Overview: Responsible for administering the physical security function of designated company facilities, including personnel and assets.&nbsp;<br /> <p><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;"><strong>Department Job Summary:</strong></span></p> <p>Responsible for overseeing day to day security operations and supervising direct reports. Work mainly out of the command center to ensure prompt response and accurate information for all emergent events. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn other software platforms. Must be flexible to work all shifts or on the weekends for events or operational need.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Plans and directs protection of designated facility against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism and all illegal and unauthorized activity.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Oversees adherence to corporate security policies and procedures; recommends changes to enhance safety and security.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Performs facility risk assessments, inspections, and vulnerability assessments.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Monitors threats, analyze incident reports and implements corrective actions and controls as necessary.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Conducts training, performs investigations, maintains records and schedules, develops budgets and develops plans and goals for the designated facility.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Oversees security projects and recommends, coordinates acquisition and installation or replacement of security devices and equipment.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Coordinates with local law enforcement, emergency response agencies, business groups, contractors and others to enhance facility protection and increase the efficiency of the security operation.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Maintains 24/7 availability to respond to emergency situations and alarm calls.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Maintains current knowledge of and ensures compliance with all applicable security regulations impacting company facilities.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Leadership responsibilities including, but not limited to, screening and selection, performance evaluation and development plans and disciplinary actions.</span></li> <li><strong><span style="font-size: small;">Shift: 3rd shift required (after training is completed)&nbsp;</span></strong></li> <li><strong>Shifts could be flexible due to operational needs.</strong></li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Associate&rsquo;s degree or equivalent credits in Criminal Justice or related discipline.&nbsp; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li> <li>Five years related experience.&nbsp; Leadership experience preferred.</li> <li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s and Chauffeur&rsquo;s license required.</li> <li>Current AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) and CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) certifications required.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong leadership; excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Operational knowledge of integrated electronic systems including access control, alarm and local/remote closed circuit technologies, as well as high-security, proprietary mechanical key schedules and systems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong analytical skills necessary for project management and problem solving.</li> <li>Other related skills and abilities may be required.</li> </ul>
