Overview: <strong>The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing learning experiences that solve business problems through the thoughtful combination of communications, eLearning, instructor-led training, performance support and other interventions. They ensure that high-quality, innovative, and effective learning solutions are designed, developed, and delivered by different teams in a timely manner to satisfy business needs.</strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Engage with stakeholders from different parts of the business to rapidly analyze their needs and design high-level learning solutions that may include a range of low, medium and high-fidelity learning interventions&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Plan, coordinate, and develop support materials and communications for divisional and/or corporate projects.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Report project statuses to various levels of management.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop performance-based training and development systems to meet operational needs and requirements.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop cross-trainings for various employees to carry out job functions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support department, divisional and corporate goals.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Represent department and division as requested on work groups and special assignments.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Establish and meet deadlines and reporting requirements.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Conduct a need analysis to design and develop materials to support training and end-users for projects, implementations &amp; initiatives for internal, external and self-service customers.&nbsp;</li> <li>Interact with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Work closely with subject matter experts (SME's) to ensure quality content is developed.&nbsp;</li> <li>Evaluate documentation/training systems to ensure effectiveness.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology or Training &amp; Development, Technical Communications preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Three (3) years experience utilizing multimedia tools such as Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Illustrator preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Two (2) years of project management experience preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in designing and developing computer-based training, storyboards, and lessons to be used in a variety of delivery media is required.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with documentation or training authorizing systems preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Technical writing skills, preferred&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven project leadership or employee leadership skills/experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of instructional design principles to provide effective/efficient training solutions to business problems and effectively communicate recommendations to all levels of employees&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated skills developing with authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Animate, Camtasia, SharePoint knowledge, preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of adult learning theories with the ability to create content relevance by mapping courses with perceived learner needs and plan instructional strategies relevant for wide variety of adult learners&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to devise instructional strategies in alignment with real learning contexts and choose the technology that best supports the instructional strategy&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven ability to reduce various types of Cognitive load that pertain to ILT and eLearning.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintains a high degree of knowledge in existing and emerging learning methods; ability to assess and envision how these methods can be applied to course development efforts.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem resolution skills.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Conduct group presentations and facilitate end-user training.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
