Overview: Market Solutions Strategy and Performance is an organization within the Health Plan Business Market Solutions organization. The organization is responsible for the overall business operations of the Market Solutions division, including strategy development, financial performance, and market messaging. The Director of Market Solutions Strategy reports to the head of Market Solutions Strategy and Performance and is responsible for developing the Market Solutions strategy and Health Plan Business (HPB) value story.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Lead a team of strategy experts to develop relationships and collaborate across HPB and the broader enterprise to advance initiatives and drive change.</li> <li>Assess the competitive landscape to identify and prioritize market needs by interacting/collaborating with HPB and Enterprise strategy teams, HPB Segment Leaders, and Customers; analyzing Customer RFP trends; and keeping abreast of competitor/vendor strategies and offerings</li> <li>Lead and collaborate on Market Solution&rsquo;s multi-year strategy formation, development, testing and roll out including development of metrics and key performance indicators.</li> <li>Develop and own the Market Solutions product roadmap.</li> <li>Develop the business cases for, craft strategy and drive initial strategic development of solutions built around specific customer and consumer needs in support of HPB&rsquo;s broader strategy and roadmap. Handoff to Solution Development and Delivery Organization for implementation and ownership while maintaining a consultative relationship to ensure strategic intent is met.</li> <li>Develop, maintain and refine the comprehensive value story for HPB Market Solutions, ensuring that market messaging aligns with the Market Solutions strategic roadmap and HPB priorities. Determine how solutions are communicated in the market.</li> <li>Drive the development of RFP and finalist meeting responses and support/enable account facing teams.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in economics, business administration, or other related technical field required. Master&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li> <li>5 years of experience in health care industry required, preferably in a consulting or strategy function.</li> <li>5 years of leadership experience required.</li> <li>Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Extensive strategic planning and / or business development experience.</li> <li>Program management and project management experience.</li> <li>Ability to draft responses to RFPs.</li> <li>Extensive experience collaborating with organizations across an enterprise to develop and implement critical business initiatives.</li> <li>Ability to interpret and recommend qualitative and quantitative market research.</li> <li>Advanced experience with portfolio management.</li> <li>Competitive intelligence experience.</li> </ul>
