Developer II

Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: Responsible for multiple projects and developing applications and technical solutions in support of the department and business priorities.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ol> <li>Work closely with department team members, business and system analysts and other departments on small to large complex projects to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions and are in compliance with corporate and departmental architectural standards.&nbsp;</li> <li>Create design specifications, code applications using standard development protocols and disciplined processes.&nbsp; Integrate solutions with other applications and platforms.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop, execute and document test plans.&nbsp; Validate production environment following solution deployment.</li> <li>Troubleshoot existing solutions to identify errors or deficiencies and develop fixes.&nbsp; Provide ongoing maintenance of applications.&nbsp; Evaluate existing solutions and applications and provide recommendations for improving the application by performing gap analysis and identifying feasible alternative solutions.</li> <li>Assist in the deployment of patches, upgrades and fixes to the production applications through newer technologies and best practices.</li> <li>Create data extracts and reports from systems based on business requirements.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ol>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ol> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field.</li> <li>Three (3) years&rsquo; experience programming techniques and application design.</li> <li>Experience in system design and a solid understanding of the development life cycle and integration methodologies.</li> </ol> <p>Experience in SQL language programming, relational databases (RDBMS), Visual Basic (VBA), SOA integration, C#, Blaze and other development tools.</p> <p>Experience (preferred) in Web Development and/or .ASP language(s) (VB.NET, ColdFusion).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.&nbsp; The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.&nbsp; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p> <ol> <li>Knowledge of business processes, including but not limited to products, provider data, provider networks, and claims processing.</li> <li>Expert knowledge of MS Access solutions, query building and experience creating custom complex databases.</li> <li>Efficiency with software testing solutions.</li> <li>Solid understanding of the System Development Life Cycle.</li> <li>Strong analytical and systems/relational analysis skills.</li> <li>Proven competency in analyzing business needs and working across both technical and nontechnical teams.</li> <li>Ability to create technical design documentation.</li> <li>Knowledge of Facets data model preferred.</li> </ol> <p><em>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, among other grounds, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, protected veteran status or status as an individual&nbsp;with a disability.</em></p>
