Overview: Perform administrative and basic leadership duties by planning, directing and coordinating daily activities of an operation (production systems and equipment, production scheduling and control, reports distribution, service level support, backup, recovery, capacity and disaster recovery planning) shift team. Contribute to planning, creating and implementing an IT vision and strategy aligned with the company&rsquo;s strategic business plan. Assist in the development of corporate standards, technology architecture, technology evaluation, and transfer.<br /> <p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES</strong></p> <ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li>Supervise staff monitoring and restarting production batch using CA-7 / CA-1 for Mainframe batch jobs and Tivoli Workload Scheduler for distributed batch jobs.</li> <li>Supervise mainframe support using JCL for job restart and resolution .</li> <li>Provides leadership, coaching, and guidance for team members, keeping production running on time.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Provides support for full-time leadership during holidays and PTO days.</li> <li>Reviews and approves after special computer processing requests.</li> <li>Collaborates with other departments on establishing and documenting service delivery standards, controls and monitoring mechanisms.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong analytical and communication skills.&nbsp; Ability to create technical policies and procedures.</li> <li>Respond to Help Desk inquiries and facilitate P1 and P2 system outages.</li> <li>Proficient in&nbsp;Microsoft Office using&nbsp; MS EXCEL and ACCESS to develop key metrics and extract monthly reporting.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>May be heavily involved in technical activities.</li> <li>Administer department policies and procedures. Initiate, develop and enforce standards and procedures in support of improved service.</li> <li>Review and ensure a high level of quality and service is maintained by meeting or exceeding commitments. Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.</li> <li>Ensure adequate levels of service are maintained by providing cross-training and/or formal training as necessary.</li> <li>Provide input to workforce planning.</li> <li>Execute change through frequent communication to staff. Identify obstacles to change.</li> <li>Review service provider performance. Identify and confirm performance problems and notifies Service Delivery Managers.</li> <li>Maintain knowledge of current trends and new technologies in related areas.</li> <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.</li> <li>Three (3) years of related IT experience.</li> <li>Supervisor or leadership experience preferred.</li> </ul> <strong><br />OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Must possess a combination of business, technical and leadership skills and competencies understanding of client's business needs, processes, and functions</li> <li>Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, architecture, application development and support, networks, and computer operations</li> <li>Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
