Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package

Overview: The Manager will be part of the Strategy team responsible for shaping and driving strategies for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan&rsquo;s (BCBSM) Health Plan Business (HPB) division. As part of the HPB Strategy team, you will work closely with market-facing segments and functional areas as a strategic adviser and partner on near-term and long-term divisional priorities and strategies (e.g., segment and functional area-specific efforts, cross-divisional initiatives, and division-led enterprise-wide efforts). Key activities include leveraging business frameworks to structure nebulous concepts, synthesizing external perspectives, identifying key opportunities, performing quantitative/qualitative analysis, and framing strategic options and recommendations. In addition, you will work with the Director and Senior Director of HPB Strategy in leading and supporting the division&rsquo;s strategic planning process and its key strategic forums/discussions, gaining exposure to the most important priorities of the business.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Responsible for planning, organizing and managing an assigned business unit.&nbsp; <br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Operate within broad objectives to ensure optimum utilization of resources; adapt business unit plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. <br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Evaluate policies, procedures and business unit goals to make decisions and solve problems.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Manage activities of a department including, but not limited to planning, problem-solving, staff development and communication.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Manage the evaluation of new and existing business processes to identify areas of opportunity and execute on business unit objectives, supporting continuous improvement.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Lead, direct, evaluate and develop the work of assigned employees.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Responsible for special projects, programs, and initiatives to ensure the successful delivery of business outcomes.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Provide effective and efficient solutions to complex business problems</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Ensure that day to day business unit operations align with organizational objectives.</span></li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
