Overview: Plan, develop and implement project efforts that utilize information technology solutions. Develop, establish and maintain project management standards and procedures. Develop the project scope, defining project guidelines, obtaining business and information technology sponsor approvals and coordinating the resources necessary to successfully complete the project. Manage one highly complex enterprise-wide program.<br /> <p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Portfolio Manager is responsible for oversight and management of all projects impacting the Service Operations domain.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience delivering contact center projects.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience delivering new technology products.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to coordinate and gain business/IT agreement on project timelines and capabilities while maintaining alignment to architectural domain roadmap across the portfolio.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to Analyze, prioritize and consolidate project risks across entire portfolio and assess its potential impact on the client.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to coordinate project dependencies across the portfolio domain.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to track and report on portfolio budget to actual spend, highlight areas of risk and provide remediation options.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Review and consolidate all project plans developed for each project (release) within a program. Manage effects on related sub-projects.&nbsp; Work with the leadership team to ensure the highest priority and highest business value projects/programs are staffed appropriately.&nbsp; Prioritize efforts for programs that will be broken down into multiple projects.&nbsp; Ensure that the project outcome reflects the goals of the client.</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Track and report on program milestones and provide status reports to project sponsors. Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client. Ensure that all projects (releases) are proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets and expectations. Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required. Evaluate metrics and key performance indicators from programs. Identify and coordinate any effects on dependent projects.</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Identify, coordinate and select internal and external resources and expertise as appropriate to achieve program objectives. Work with other leaders in order to effectively align resources across projects/programs. Negotiate changes in project resources as necessary to achieve objectives and timelines. Collaborate with functional areas in the supervision of project personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution.&nbsp;</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Assist with identifying which resources need to be procured outside the organization. Describe technical or other issues that need to be considered and assists in the development of SOWs.&nbsp; Ensure provisions of plans and contracts are being carried out.</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Evaluate and oversee ongoing vendor activities. Approve invoices for payment.&nbsp; Provide advice and counsel to the vendor decision-making, contract development processes, or issues. Work with vendors on escalated issues.</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Identify the elements of risk in a project. Analyze and prioritize and consolidate project risks and assess its potential impact to the client. Develop and maintain risk plans, processes and systems in order to mitigate risk, with assistance. Maintain issue list, proactively escalating issues to project and departmental leadership to mitigate risk. Recommend and take action to direct analysis and solution of problems.&nbsp; Ensure identified problems are well followed-up and thoroughly managed to avoid reoccurrence.</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Utilize various tools and techniques for estimating costs associated with a project/program including physical, financial and human capital costs.&nbsp; Integrate cost baselines from multiple projects (releases) into the overall program cost budget. Refine project/program cost estimates and confirm funding sources. Monitor the actual cost of the project/program versus the budget continuously. Defines and evaluate factors that may potentially cause cost changes. Conduct in-depth root cause analysis of project/program budget.</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Develop and maintain productive working relationships with business owners, program sponsors, vendors, and key clients.&nbsp; Provide strategic guidance and insight for projects that are mission or business-critical. Communicate with leadership and business executives about the program portfolio, status and resource planning.&nbsp; Assess the effectiveness of interaction and communication with the client team.</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Develop and distribute the schedule for delivery of product/service. Verify completeness of delivery package/documentation. Coordinate the transfer of the product/service.&nbsp; Initiate and execute project closure.</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">D</span><span style="font-size: small;">iscuss teamwork progress and obstacles. Provide advice, guidance, encouragement and constructive feedback.&nbsp; Ensure work, information, ideas, and technology flow freely across teams.&nbsp; Establish measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with business and organizational goals.&nbsp; Document and present performance assessments.</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Provide the team with constructive feedback as it pertains to program performance. Requirements: <ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Bachelor's degree in related field required.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Ten (10) years of experience in Information Technology and business/industry work required.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Five (5) years experience managing projects in multiple technologies and functions required.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Three (3) years of leadership experience required.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Project management tool and methodology in-depth knowledge required.</li> </ul> <p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p> <ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">In-depth knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Proven skills in managing within a matrix organization.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate vision, mission, and goals to both business and IT audiences.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Sound understanding of technology and its application to achieve business objectives.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Knowledge of the techniques and ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
