Competitive Total Compensation Package

Overview: Direct and oversee enterprise risk management efforts including priority and emergency enterprise risk identification, oversight, analysis, management and reporting to senior leadership and the Board of Directors. The position will direct all aspects of enterprise risk management from strategy through implementation across the entire enterprise, including all subsidiaries.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Oversee enterprise risk management efforts including collaboration with senior executives in the identification, management, and reporting of priority and watch level risks, emerging risks, mitigation strategies, key risk indicators, risk tolerance, residual risk, and interdependencies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with subsidiaries to develop enterprise risk management disciplines consistent with enterprise objectives; integrate results for reporting to senior executives and the board of directors.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop and deliver risk tolerance and philosophy statement, to senior leadership and the board of directors.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with other divisions and priority enterprise risk owners to reduce organization complexity and enhance efficiencies through automation and integration of enterprise risk management with existing corporate processes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate and align with strategic and capital planning to achieve and maintain formal integration with enterprise risk management.&nbsp;</li> <li>Monitor and prepare enterprise for evolving enterprise risk management mandates from regulators and rating agencies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Prepare and file Own Risk and Solvency Assessment annually with Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services.&nbsp;</li> <li>Prepare and deliver formal presentations, discussion documents, and department updates to the senior executive team and the board of directors.&nbsp;</li> <li>Coach and develop team members within the department.&nbsp;</li> <li>Other duties may be assigned.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Master's or other advanced degree in business or related field required.</li> <li>Ten (10) years experience in enterprise risk management. Experience in insurance or health care industries preferred.</li> <li>Three (3) years leadership experience required.</li> <li>Broad and deep knowledge of BCBSM including its business, history, long-term and annual goals, and leadership.</li> <li>Outstanding communication skills. Ability to deliver complex information in clear, concise, and relevant manner using appropriate media</li> <li>Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to consult with executive and line leadership and influence without authority.</li> <li>Highly refined analytical skills.
