Overview: Serve as a liaison between the business areas and the IT organization to provide technical solutions required for the achievement of business goals. Collect, analyze, develop, document, and communicate business requirements. Support one or more low to moderately complex business processes.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements.</li> <li>Contribute to the business short-and long-term planning sessions and provides direction to ensure understanding of business goals and direction. Provide input from a business and IT perspective.</li> <li>Assist in assessing client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying business priorities.</li> <li>Develop, write, and communicate business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of business solutions.</li> <li>Document current business processes and models.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide assistance in business case development (i.e., research, data collection), as needed. Develop user test cases and system integration testing and validate test results during testing. Investigate, resolve and escalate problems.&nbsp; Procure technical assistance to help in problem resolution.</li> <li>Keep customers informed of problems, issues, and status.&nbsp; Analyze performance metrics to eure customer satisfaction.</li> <li>Coach and transfer knowledge to less experienced team members.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.</li> <li>One (1) year of relevant technical or business work experience required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES</strong></p> <p>The position requires knowledge and preferably hands-on experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and Configuration Management, specifically software management.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for working with IT teams to identify, control, maintain and verify hardware and software assets in the IT Configuration Management Database (CMDB).&nbsp;</li> <li>Works closely with stakeholders to establish business requirements for the CMDB.</li> <li>Support design, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating and maintaining CMDB data.</li> <li>Communicate CMDB activities to shareholders to enhance general awareness of processes and standards.</li> <li>Experience and knowledge of software license management that includes: <ul> <li>&nbsp; &nbsp; Inventory</li> <li>&nbsp; &nbsp; License Compliance validation</li> <li>&nbsp; &nbsp; Usage analysis&nbsp;</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Supports asset and configuration management activities/engagement across the IT organization</li> <li>Ability to develop advanced queries and reports for management on KPIs to improve the process effectiveness, efficiency, and data accuracy.</li> </ul> <p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of business operations and systems requirement processes.</li> <li>Demonstrated technical, analytical, systems skills.</li> <li>Display innovation in identifying, proposing, and overseeing the execution of business solutions.</li> <li>Written and verbal communication skills interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, or within a team environment.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul> <p><em>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, among other grounds, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, protected veteran status or status as an individual with a disability.</em></p>
