Overview: <strong>Provide complex project management, technical, and analytic skills to complete and develop reports. Provide project management and analytic training and direction for staff.&nbsp; Ensure the overall quality and timeliness of deliverables.</strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Utilizes advanced or specialized technical knowledge in order to perform complex programming assignments, review project plans and other technical documents in order to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with departmental procedures and directions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Represents the area in corporate meetings or planning sessions and makes department level decisions as directed by leadership on corporate work groups.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide input into the development of policies and procedures for the area and coordinates the preparation of appropriate documentation of same.&nbsp;</li> <li>Recommend the development and direction of area software/hardware and technology.&nbsp;</li> <li>In doing so, utilizes technical knowledge and may conduct research in order to investigate future trends and impacts of technological advances.&nbsp;</li> <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Possess demonstrated knowledge of healthcare and /or managed care principles, computer systems, and claims databases.</li> <li>Working knowledge of administrative data sources including standard coding schemes such as ICD9-CM and CPT.</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of relational databases design and construction.</li> <li>Knowledge of computer systems and SQL programming.</li> <li>Knowledge of biostatistical and epidemiological concepts preferred.</li> <li>Demonstrated project management skills including the use of continuous quality improvement tools.</li> <li>Demonstrated competency using SAS or SPSS, Access and Excel</li> <li>Competency in programming such as Visual Basic, Access, Postgres, etc.</li> <li>Demonstrated competency planning and conducting reports and completing research reports.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> </ul>
