Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package

Overview: <p style="font-weight: 400;">Provide high-level oversight, leadership, and consultative support to the business unit; establish goals and objectives that support continuous quality improvement and lead change effectively.&nbsp;Responsible for the pricing and rate filing in the individual, small group, and large group fully insured markets. Includes support to internal business units to achieve margin and membership targets.</p> <p style="font-weight: 400;">Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and leading multiple business units. Develop vision and identify the strategic direction for the business units. Support corporate goals and objectives.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Direct activities of multiple functional areas, including but not limited to planning, staff development, problem-solving, and communications.</li> <li>Direct multiple analyses related to historical and projected contingent events including external and internal sources.</li> <li>Proactively seek out opportunities to innovate and develop new processes, procedures, and solutions considering corporate impact and consequences of recommendations.</li> <li>Provide effective/efficient solutions to complex business problems.</li> <li>Provide high-level oversight and leadership to business unit; establish goals and objectives that support continuous quality improvement and lead change effectively.</li> <li>Utilize expert knowledge of actuarial analytics and business processes to support market segments in maximizing growth.</li> <li>Communicate utilizing collaboration and influence with key business partners through the presentation of findings and recommendations, strategies, and work products that maximize knowledge transfer, financial health, and segment growth.</li> <li>Remain current on actuarial techniques, seek development and improvement opportunities, and understand corporate/cross-functional objectives and cultural beliefs.</li> <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in related field Master's Degree in related field preferred.</li> <li>Eight (8) years experience in related field including experience in an actuarial role and three (3) years in a leadership role.</li> <li>ASA designation FSA designation preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of federal and Michigan health insurance industry regulations.</li> </ul>
