Overview: <p>Initiate problem solving using data analysis tools, performance measurements and decision making processes. Create formal presentations, discussion documents and updates for presentation to senior executive team.&nbsp;Develop appropriate reports summarizing data enabling management to make sound business decisions. Responsibilities: <p><strong>Department Summary</strong></p> <p>Responsible for playing a key role in the development and implementation of the long-term data governance strategy for the enterprise; <strong>Responsible to plan organize and lead coordination of Data Governance functions across major data initiatives in alignment with Data Strategy and corporate strategic imperatives.</strong> Responsible to coordinate business activities necessary for new business capability development for data. Responsible for progress tracking, dependency management, issue and risk management and other monitoring activities. Specialize in the development, planning, and leadership over business approaches on data capability initiatives holistically.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Issue escalation and prioritization.&nbsp; Monitoring and measurement of progress. <strong>Provide solutions to complex business problems and make recommendations to executive management to improve strategic initiatives and technical processes. </strong>Utilize primary and secondary research to assist in identifying best practices and opportunities for the organization. Maintain knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in related field Coordinate information and data between departments, acting as a liaison, communicating through reports, meetings, company newsletters, or memos the best use of data in each department from business owner, to IT, and end consumers.&nbsp;&nbsp; Formulate a system of decision rights and accountabilities based on the definitions set by the governance framework. <strong>Orchestrate teams to organize, understand, transform, and manage data domains as an enterprise asset.</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>- Manage large-scale, complex, strategic projects and initiatives.&nbsp;</p> <p>- Develop plans, monitor progress, manage risk and validate expected outcomes.&nbsp; Inform key stakeholders of the process and outcome.</p> <p>- Provide effective internal and external communication of program performance, its impact, and performance to plan.</p> <p>- Consult with business unit leaders and employees regarding performance improvement facilitation and implementation.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>- <strong>Contribute to the improvement of corporate business results by providing insight and innovative problem solving.</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>- Develop metrics, analyze performance and perform root cause analysis.</p> <p><strong>- Initiate problem solving using data analysis tools, performance measurements and decision making processes. </strong></p> <p>- Assess and diagnose process related problems that interfere with optimal performance.</p> <p>- Create formal presentations, discussion documents and updates for presentation to senior executive team.&nbsp;</p> <p>- Other duties may be assigned.&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.</li> <li>Minimum of five (5) years experience with increasing responsibility in business unit consulting with an emphasis on process improvement, business management, and strategic planning.</li> <li>Experience in practical application of statistical analysis to business problems and situations.</li> <li><strong>Must be able to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to their business issues.</strong></li> <li>In-depth knowledge of statistical data analysis, statistical quality control, and experimental design, and apply them to practical situations.</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge and competency in process improvement, project management, strategic planning, and performance measurement.</li> <li>Ability to adapt quickly and work independently with multiple priorities.</li> <li>Proven ability to speak effectively before groups and facilitate workgroups and meetings.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in PC applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.</li> <li><strong>Ability to effectively frame decisions for executive level consideration.</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>DEPARTMENT PREFERENCES</strong></p> <p>- <strong>5+ years with data management and/or analysis, such as data governance, data warehousing/business intelligence, meta data management, master data management.</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>- knowledge of information management tools utilized for data cleansing, data profiling, meta data management, master data/CDI, data modeling, business intelligence preferred.</p> <p>- <strong>At least 2 years of experience specific to data governance. Familiarity with Data Governance business acumen required for managing data as an asset including knowledge of emerging data technologies and data integration, big data, metadata, master data management, data migration tools, and data modeling.</strong>&nbsp;</p>
