Overview: <p><strong>Responsible to plan, organize, direct, control, and lead assigned business unit; specialize in development, planning, and leadership; operate within broad objectives to ensure optimum utilization of capital, manpower, and equipment for the assigned business unit.</strong></p>
Responsibilities: <p>Manage activities of a department including but not limited to planning, problem solving, staff development and communication. Execute function/area objectives that support continuous improvement. Manage professional, exempt, and non-exempt non-bargaining and bargaining unit employees. Responsible for special projects and/or problem resolutions. Provide effective and efficient solutions to complex business problems. Provide high level oversight and leadership. Other Duties may be assigned.</p> <p>This position is responsible for leading a team of technical reporting resources, including various IT application developers, database administrators and business analysts. Successful candidates will possess demonstrated experience managing day-to-day reporting responsibilities, developing new dashboard/reporting solutions and overseeing cross-functional projects to deliver transformational change, strategic planning, reporting/analysis and financial modeling for all aspects of internal and external customer service and related support.</p>
Requirements: <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in related field required. Master's Degree in related field considered a plus.</li> <li>Five (5) to ten (10) years experience in related field including experience in a leadership role.</li> <li>Ability to work under general direction.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li> <li>Good analytical, organizational, planning, verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> <li>Valid Michigan Accident and Health Insurance License.</li> <li>Valid and unrestricted driver's license is required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Departmental Preferences:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience leading a team of technical reporting resources, including various IT developers, database administrators and business analysts</li> <li>Contact Center reporting, analytics and/or business intelligence experience</li> <li>Experience supporting an operational team (e.g. call center, back office, etc.) via reporting and analytics</li> <li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. querying data from SQL Server, VBA, building macros, dynamic charts/graphs, Power Pivot)</li> <li>Experience creating interactive dashboards using Excel, Tableau, or something equivalent (Microsoft Power BI, SAS Visual Analytics, QlikView, etc.)</li> <li>PMP, Project Management Certification</li> <li>Experience supporting an operational team (e.g. call center, back office, etc.) via reporting and analytics</li> <li>Experience configuring and deploying an enterprise-wide reporting and analytics platform</li> </ul>
