Overview: <p><strong>Provide integrated enterprise-wide reporting of financial plans.&nbsp; Analyze, evaluate, and maintain an understanding of client's business model/processes to ensure efficiency across functions and profitability across segments.&nbsp; Influence positive change by providing consultation to clients regarding products, pricing, and financial arrangements.&nbsp; Partner with business units to provide cost performance, profit and loss perspective, facilitate change, and improve financial performance.</strong></p>
Responsibilities: <p>Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased efficiency, and alignment across functions and broader enterprise strategies.&nbsp;Assist clients in the development and implementation of business strategy goals, P and L targets and forecast business needs.&nbsp;Leverage knowledge of the BCBSM business model and key business processes that impact the client to help drive financial strategy, reduce benefit cost trends, increase healthcare value, and capture greater market share and/or product value.&nbsp;Assist in the development of metrics related to new and revised processes for functional areas and segment financial performance; using the data to make recommendations for improvements.&nbsp;Evaluate cost structures and process flows for designated client to reduce costs and increase efficiencies.&nbsp;Educate client on company/industry economic and revenue drivers, research and make recommendations for innovation, and anticipate changes in the financial strategy of the business.&nbsp;Evaluate client's administrative spending against external benchmarks and provide recommendations based on best practices.&nbsp;Provide data analysis and interpretation to assist in the development of client's financial business plan to ensure adherence to budget requirements and corporate capital plan.&nbsp;Provide project/program accounting support.&nbsp;Analyze vendor relationships to ensure accruals are accurate and provide support for re-bids as required.&nbsp;Prepare various financial reports to help drive financial strategy and business unit performance. Other duties may be assigned.</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance related field required.</li> <li>Five (5) to eight (8) years Finance or related experience required.</li> <li>One (1) to three (3) years healthcare or insurance plan experience preferred.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in team environment and with multiple priorities and certain deadlines.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and organization skills.</li> <li>Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint).</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> <li>Certification (CPA, CMA, CFM) preferred.</li> </ul>
