Overview: <p><strong>Provide complex project management, technical, and analytic skills to support homegrown applications, databases, and reports. Provide project management and analytic training and direction for staff.&nbsp; Ensure the overall quality and timeliness of deliverables.</strong></p>
Responsibilities: <ol> <li>Utilize advanced or specialized technical knowledge to perform complex programming assignments, data analysis &amp; report generation, review project plans and other technical documents to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with departmental procedures and directions.</li> <li>Represent the area in corporate meetings or planning sessions and makes department level decisions as directed by leadership on corporate work groups.</li> <li>Provide input into the development of policies and procedures for the area and coordinate the preparation of appropriate documentation of same.</li> <li>Recommend the development and direction of area software/hardware and technology.&nbsp; In doing so, utilize technical knowledge and may conduct research to investigate future trends and impacts of technological advances.</li> </ol> <p>&nbsp; Other duties may be assigned.&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in a health information technology field.&nbsp; A minimum of five years demonstrated knowledge and experience planning and leading high risk and complex projects</li> <li>Familiarity with healthcare analysis and reporting.</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of HEDIS.</li> <li>Possess demonstrated knowledge of healthcare and /or managed care principles, computer systems, and claims databases</li> <li>Working knowledge of administrative data sources including standard coding schemes such as ICD9/10 and CPT</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of relational databases design and Oracle, MS SQL Server</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and PL/SQL programming</li> <li>Knowledge of bio statistical and epidemiological concepts preferred</li> <li>Demonstrated project management skills including the use of continuous quality improvement tools</li> <li>Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite</li> <li>Competency in programming such as Visual Basic, MS Access, Postgres, etc.</li> <li>Demonstrated competency planning and conducting reports and completing research reports</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> </ul>
