Intern

Overview: <p>We are seeking a full-time intern in the Human Performance function to work with the Organizational Development team. The idea candidate is pursuing their Master&rsquo;s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and has some applied work experience.&nbsp; We are looking for someone interested and open to learning what it takes to be successful in a corporate setting and who is interested in learning about our organization and culture. We focus on work related to our key business metrics. This is an applied position in a corporate setting. This is not a research position, and is also not a position that will focus on high levels of data analysis.</p>
Responsibilities: <p>Internship projects will likely include a variety of projects around supporting the core work including:</p> <ul> <li>Creation of tools and materials that support enterprise strategic initiatives related to culture, organizational alignment, business knowledge, and decision making.</li> <li>Design and develop of instructional documents to be used for delivery and support of organizational development learning opportunities.</li> <li>Tracking, analyzing, interpreting and providing recommendations on various initiatives related to the cultural transformation, cultural beliefs and cultural alignment activities.</li> <li>Drafting, implementing and evaluating communication and marketing plans.</li> <li>Preparation of materials associated with organizational surveys.</li> <li>Participating in planning meetings associated with strategic learning webinars and other learning opportunities.</li> </ul>
Requirements: What the ideal candidate brings to the role:<br /> <ul> <li>Experience working in Windows operating system.</li> <li>Demonstrates initiative and can work independently.</li> <li>Able to create and deliver presentations to work teams comprised of employees from multiple functions at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.</li> <li>Applies interpersonal and communication skills &ndash; including translating academic knowledge into business terms and to organization development work.</li> <li>Persuades others towards a practical and value added application of organizational psychology principles, using an approach that is team-oriented and effective for non-organizational psychologists.</li> <li>Understands practical constraints placed on organizational psychologists in business environments and is willing to make appropriate compromises.</li> <li>Has familiarity with learning principles and basic instructional design.</li> </ul>
