Paid Internship

Overview: Intern will be supporting the sales training department.
Responsibilities: <p>Specific responsibilities will include: managing registration at trainings, pulling rosters, reviewing training material, owning the general team mailbox, recording webinars, supporting/assisting with webinars, reviewing/updating training material and attending various trainings.&nbsp;The intern will manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight, be able to assimilate new information quickly, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be detail oriented, a self-starter, and interested in sales and/or training fields. Sales Force Development (SFD) designs/develops and delivers training to the 250 internal sales reps and the 3500+ external insurance agents selling Blue Cross products.</p> <p>Intern objectives:</p> <ul> <li>Understand SFD functions at Blue Cross.</li> <li>Understand the sales organization at Blue Cross.</li> <li>Understand the role human performance functions play in an organization.</li> <li>Learn to handle the multiple daily tasks of managing, interacting, writing while meeting overall project deadlines.</li> <li>Gain experience in working on a project team.</li> </ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support classroom trainings &amp; webinars (rosters, registration, evaluations, etc.).</li> <li>Prepares reports, statuses or other communication channels.</li> <li>Assist in training coordinator activities and functions.</li> <li>Review and update training materials.</li> <li>Maintain a training calendar.</li> <li>Support related to Continuing Education credits/interactions with the state of MI.</li> <li>Assist with monthly sales newsletter.</li> <li>Attend and participate in team/department meetings.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p>The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and will be able to professionally interact with others.<br /> <br /> Required &amp; Preferred Skills&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Prefer candidate seeking degree in Business, Sales, Education, HR, instructional design, or related major.</li> <li>Preferred and Minimum Candidate Standing: Sophmore or above.</li> <li>Desired GPA: 3.0 or higher.</li> </ul> <p>Desired skills and competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Microsoft Word, PowerPoint - moderate to high proficiency.</li> <li>Microsoft Excel, SharePoint &ndash; moderate proficiency.</li> <li>Excellent writing skills.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.</li> <li>Moderate level of analytic capability - ability to read metrics and interpret.</li> </ul> <p>Preferred Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Prior office experience preferred.</li> <li>Past work experience of any type required.</li> <li>Fast-paced environment.</li> </ul>
