Overview: <p>The Health Care Value division deploys broad strategies and unique initiatives which impact the total cost of care for our members and customers. The HCV Business Planning and Performance Management team is an essential component of this strategy. By serving as a hub of support and information for strategic priorities, innovative projects and meaningful outcomes&nbsp;our team has a unique perspective into the end-to-end value capture process for BCBSM.</p> <p>This position will support strategic communications and business planning work by learning about key divisional and customer priorities and by creating presentations and tools which effectively communicate alignment and outcomes on behalf of our members. This position has a unique exposure to senior and executive leaders of the enterprise and requires a skillset of communications, business administration, organizational development and strategic analysis.</p>
Responsibilities: <p>By the end of the internship the successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of Health Care Value programs and how each is leveraged to impact the total cost of care of members and customers. The intern will leverage this information to create compelling presentations, concise reports and easy to understand infographics which highlight program, unit and divisional work and outcomes.</p> <ul> <li>Development of presentations for senior and executive leadership regarding divisional strategy, execution and outcomes.</li> <li>Hands on support and collaboration with divisional leaders intended to communicate key elements of work input, outcomes risks and value proposition.</li> <li>Development of integrated business planning and performance management templates using Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and related tools.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong><u>Required &amp; Preferred Skills</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience with PowerPoint.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience communicating to broad audiences on complex topics through clear and simple messages/methods.</li> <li>Ability to quickly understand and apply complex information, including business acumen, actuarial analyses, strategy and business plans.</li> </ul>
