Internship

Overview: Plan, develop, test and implement IT system solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity as well as support business strategies and goals for the IT organization. Identify and communicate business needs and translate business requirements into technical system and functional specifications. This is an intern position in one of the following areas: Application &amp; Delivery Services: supporting claims, membership, front-end/back-office applications and other IT processes.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>IT Business Operations: supporting one set of non-technical planning and administrative business process/system such as IT resource management, IT budget management, IT performance management and IT employee development.</li> <li>Production: supporting the data center, disaster recovery, telecommunications, print, networking or other IT infrastructure operations.</li> <li>Information Security: focused on overseeing the enterprise information security functions which includes application security testing, information security policy/procedure development, security audits, incident response, access provisioning, and analytical support.</li> <li>Enterprise Architecture Services: focused on solution, technology or business architecture.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Must be currently be enrolled in a college undergraduate program with a class standing of junior or higher or in a graduate program</li> <li>Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above</li> <li>For technical roles candidates must be majoring in one of the following: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, IT, MIS, Computer Engineering, Systems or Software Engineering, Web Development, Mobile Development, or a related program</li> <li>For non-technical/administrative roles candidates must be majoring in one of the following (knowledge in these areas may be considered a plus for technical roles): Business Administration, Business Management, Human Resources, Health Care Administration, Finance, Communications, or other discipline</li> <li>One (1) year of relevant intern work experience preferred</li> <li>Required and Preferred Skills Strong analytical, technical, interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently, or within a team environment Problem solving and issue resolution skills</li> <li>Ability to multitask with a high degree of organization and attention to detail</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Access, Visio)</li> <li>Knowledge of the following is preferred Software and web development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) Programming languages/platforms (.Net, Javascript, SQL) Operating systems (Windows, Unix) Knowledge of various databases (Oracle, MySQL) Software applications (Crystal Reports, CA-Harvest, Rational ClearQuest) Knowledge of project delivery methodologies/concepts</li> </ul>
