Overview: <p>Develop a market-backed, long-term strategic plan for the Enterprise and lead the organization&rsquo;s annual strategic planning process. Serve in a consultative role to the business multi-year strategies and supporting business and operational plans are developed. Ensure business plans align with the overall aspirations and strategy of the enterprise, facilitate executive-level discussions, drive consistency across business plans and identify potential&nbsp;opportunities for further analysis. Just as importantly, lead&nbsp;and develop a pipeline of strategists for the organization.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </strong>include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ol> <li>Develop the organization&rsquo;s multi-year strategic plan, incorporating market trends, strategic aspirations, key capabilities required, and in-flight corporate and business unit strategies.</li> <li>Coordinate with the business to develop their multi-year strategies and supporting business plans, including key assumptions, priorities and anticipated outcomes, and key risks.</li> <li>Identify, develop and evaluate strategies. Drive development of enterprise-wide and cross-functional strategies, including capability and value identification.</li> <li>Maintain a point of view on the key trends and direction of the health care industry and develop perspectives on how Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan should respond to changing industry trends.</li> <li>Provide leadership, coaching and development to a team supporting Corporate Strategy to maximize resources, manage workloads and ensure on-time deliverables.</li> <li>Lead and support cross-functional project teams with internal and external subject matter experts. Provides ongoing project management support, including developing work plans and supporting project outputs. Communicate status of project teams to leadership.</li> <li>Prepare content and deliver presentations, discussion documents, and updates to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.</li> </ol>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ol> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Strategy, Health Policy, Business or related field required.
