Overview: <h5><span style="font-size: small;">Corporate Planning Managers develop both a broad view of the enterprise and industry, but also deep expertise in their assigned portfolio of business areas. As part of the Corporate Planning team you will spend the majority of your time reviewing industry and enterprise strategy developments, staying up to speed on the business, developing and evaluating business plans, and modeling capital planning scenarios. The Corporate Planning Manager role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders in the business and executive leadership to help inform the planning process and solicit organizational buy-in. Successful Corporate Planning Managers become trusted advisors to the business areas they support &ndash; perhaps even honorary members of the team &ndash; helping leadership to think through the value they bring to the enterprise, alignment to long-term strategy, and the critical capability development that will keep their business areas competitive. &nbsp;In supporting this business planning and capital allocation process, you will influence directly the future path of the business.<br /><br /><span id="requisitionDescriptionInterface.ID1535.row1" class="text" title=""><span style="font-size: xx-small;">This position reports directly to the Director of Corporate Strategy and Planning. Responsibilities: <div><strong><span style="font-size: small;">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </span></strong><span style="font-size: small;">include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</span></div> <ol> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Maintain a point of view on where the health care industry is headed, and provide a perspective on how BCBSM should respond in light of changing industry trends</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Lead the business through annual capital planning process, helping to build business cases that garner investment</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Act as a thought partner to enterprise leadership in the development and prioritization of &nbsp;business initiatives that support enterprise strategic objectives and create value, requiring the ability to influence and change the mindset of, or gain acceptance of others</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Understand the economic and financial drivers of our business, and help articulate that financial perspective within business plans</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Create executive level presentations and correspondence to communicate recommendations to leadership </span></div> </li> </ol>
Requirements: <div id="requisitionDescriptionInterface.ID1548.row1" class="contentlinepanel" title=""><strong><span class="subtitle">EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</span></strong> <ol> <li> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Policy, or related field required.
