Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provides personalized service and uses guest name</li> <li>Resolves service problems according to guidelines</li> <li>Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos</li> <li>Promotes casino events and programs</li> <li>Provides fast (20 minute or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests; carries full trays on every round</li> <li>Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines</li> <li>Takes drink orders, communicates with bartender, assists in the preparation of drinks and presents drinks to guests</li> <li>Handles money according to procedure</li> <li>Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor</li> <li>Maintains clean and stocked workstation</li> </ul>
Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 21 years of age.<br /> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior food handling, cashier and/or attendant experience preferred. Prior knowledge of proper food holding temperatures and the ability to identify temperature danger zones and understanding the proper use of cleaning chemicals preferred but not required.</li> <li>Must have ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as scheduled.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li> <li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</li> <li>Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).</li> <li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.</li> <li>Ability to effectively present proper phone etiquette.</li> <li>Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.</li> <li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.</li> </ul> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES <br />This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.<br /> <br />LANGUAGE SKILLS<br />Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
