And though our properties may be diverse, one thing is universal: all offer the unparalleled quality, service, and support our residents deserve.</p> <p>We are searching for a talented&nbsp;<strong>Training Manager</strong>&nbsp;to be based out of&nbsp;<strong>Key Tower in downtown Cleveland, OH.</strong></p> <p><strong>Overview:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>At Brookfield Properties Multifamily the learning organization is front and center of the employee experience and embedded directly with operations. The team is tasked to help transform Brookfield Properties into a best in class apartment home operator. &nbsp;This role will be responsible for managing the day to day support operations of the learning team. The position will work collaboratively with a wide range of team members in assessing and delivering key programs, processes and services for which their team is responsible.</p> <p><strong>Successful candidates will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bring energy and enthusiasm to everything they do.</li> <li>Know how to lead from the front.&nbsp;</li> <li>Be detail orientated, a strong self-starter and creative.</li> <li>Have experience in Learning Management Systems and Instructional Design.</li> <li>Be comfortable managing a small team.</li> <li>Be a project manager pro.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: Here is what you will be doing: Training Operations Management (50%)<ul><li>Own and manage the training operations and delivery side of the team, including instructional design, training coordination, communications, project management and LMS administration. </li><li> Own the strategy and execution of compliance training.</li><li>Responsible for all things related to our LMS</li><li>Manage other key vendor relationships which may include contract negotiations, bill payment, technical setup, support and more. </li><li>Own the development and maintenance of a training catalog and calendar.</li><li> Review and manage the department budget.</li></ul> Supporting the team (20%)<ul><li>Own and support project management for their team as well as the broader Learning team. </li><li> Ability to lead and influence others in the development, planning and execution of key programs or initiatives.</li><li>Expertly manage, coach, and develop their team.</li><li>Deliver role model facilitation when needed. </li></ul>Instructional Design (20%)<ul><li>Apply learning theory/models, leverage or benchmark best practices/trends, and maintain knowledge of cutting-edge approaches in order to deliver contemporary performance-based learning solutions that drive measurable, lasting impact.</li><li>Manage and partner with the Instructional Designer to deliver high quality learning solutions. </li><li>Support the maintenance of training materials and associated processes.</li><li>Participates as a project team member in the development and implementation of department initiatives.</li></ul>Curate a learning culture (10%)<ul><li>Uses data to demonstrate value and impact of initiatives and solutions. </li><li> Effectively partners with stakeholders to develop solutions that meet their needs.</li><li> Builds an annual training plan.</li><li>Makes recommendations on revising learning programs and delivery techniques.</li><li>Evaluates course content accuracy, appropriateness, attendee engagement, and alignment with learning objectives and business needs. </li></ul>Must be comfortable with the following in order to be successful:<li>Change and switching gears quickly.</li><li>Confidence in decision making rather than being told what to do.</li><li>Manage many different projects at one time that vary in scope, size and complexity.</li>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Undergraduate degree or equivalent is required. Advanced degree is preferred.</li> <li>2 to 4 years of related work experience.</li> <li>Experience working with a wide variety of training materials and modalities.</li> <li>Familiarity with ADDIE or similar instructional design processes is required.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.</li> <li>Comfortable with long periods of standing and talking</li> <li>Has experience designing learning materials individually and as part of a team.</li> <li>LMS administration experience required. &nbsp;</li> <li>Experience managing other learning professionals is strongly preferred.</li> <li>Experience working with and managing vendors is strongly preferred.</li> <li>Expert with PowerPoint and Word</li> <li>Proficient with other standard office tools such as Outlook, Excel and the Internet</li> <li>Familiarity with eLearning development tools such as Articulate or Captivate is strongly preferred.</li> <li>Willing to travel up to 10%.</li> </ul>
