You are a team player who can work cooperatively and independently within our complex and fast-paced environment, contributing as well as taking direction. You have a history of working well under pressure and pride yourself on being able to positively adapt as work situations have called for it. As a professional Heavy Equipment Operator you will operate our equipment in a safe and appropriate manner at all times in addition to being responsible for the basic maintenance of the equipment you run. Responsibilities: <p style="display: inline !important;"><strong data-redactor-tag="strong">What you will be doing:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Backup batching of concrete</li> <li>Load Batch Plant with various aggregates</li> <li>Maintain Aggregate piles</li> <li>Drive Mixer truck when required</li> <li>Clean out wash pit (using Loader bucket)</li> <li>Remove crushed concrete from windrow area</li> <li>Perform routine maintenance including equipment cleanliness, daily service inspection, fueling, greasing and additional maintenance as may be directed by your Supervisor</li> <li>Participate in safety meetings and training sessions</li> <li>Participate in safety efforts including identifying and reporting unsafe conditions and/or safety policy violations</li> <li>Accurate completion of paperwork including any required safety documentation</li> <li>Other duties as may be assigned</li> </ul> <strong data-redactor-tag="strong">Reality of the Job:<br /></strong> <ul> <li>You might work long hours during peak times</li> <li>You will work some Saturday&rsquo;s during peak season</li> <li>You will be maneuvering the trucks in sometimes very tight construction areas</li> <li>There will be less hours available in our non peak times</li> </ul> <br /> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <p><strong data-redactor-tag="strong">What we would like from you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma</li> <li>Experience operating a concrete batch plant-preferred but not required</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in the operation of a Front End Loader</li> <li>Class 1 or 3 CDL with Air Brakes Endorsement</li> <li>Personal vehicle and a valid Driver&rsquo;s License, including clean Driver's Abstract</li> <li>Knowledge of sand and gravel products</li> <li>Good mathematical/mechanical aptitude</li> <li>Positive and safety conscious attitude</li> </ul> <br /><strong data-redactor-tag="strong">IMPORTANT:&nbsp;</strong>As this is a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates selected for hire must successfully pass pre-employment testing including a drug and alcohol screen (Cannabis included), and a Fitness to Work test.
