Someone who is excited to be part of realigning our eight different audio products into three streamline native apps (iOS, Android and responsive web). This is an opportunity to play an integral role in a significant undertaking as we consolidate all of our Music, Podcasts and Talk content in a way that prioritizes our audience through improved accessibility, navigation and user experience. Responsibilities: <p><strong>How you will make a difference:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Research, explore, experiment, discover. You will closely examine the market, play with technologies and determine the best way to apply the tools we have - and identify the tools we need - to build out our Radio Native Apps in iOS and Android.</li> <li>Execute a strategy. You will iterate upon the existing product strategy and roadmap, outlining requirements, creating user stories and defining the scope and deliverables. You will present concepts, product updates and relevant metrics to upper level management.</li> <li>Forge collaborative relationships. You will seek out input from department leads, other teams and audio content creators to plan for and pilot the new Radio Native Apps. You will develop and manage relationships with stakeholders, business owners, and content producers, seeking input, sharing plans and gathering feedback to align the value the team delivers.</li> <li>Nurture a culture of collaboration, learning, creativity and fun. You will work with the cross functional team to provide direction, negotiate the current work priorities and plan for executing on the product roadmap.</li> <li>Manage backlog. You will collaborate with the delivery team to manage backlog priorities, define work items, and respond to stakeholder feedback. Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The leadership experience. You have experience as a BA, Product Owner, Product Manager or in a related role spearheading the end-to-end development of large-scale mobile applications. Broadcast or Digital Media would be a huge bonus. You have a deep understanding of how to inspire and guide the work of a team and you can nurture strong two-way relationships with technical teams, peers, executives and other stakeholders.</li> <li>The passion. You have a love of CBC Radio, cutting edge tech and bringing both to the everyday consumer.</li> <li>The Agile and Lean mindset. You understand and value the principles of frequent delivery, short feedback loops, and iterative development. You understand how to deliver maximum value while eliminating waste.</li> <li>The knowledge. You are a strategic thinker and an idea-generator. You have the patience to consider all options before jumping into a decision and the imagination to put forward and inspire big ideas. You are familiar with industry best practices and comfortable communicating with your end-user audience. You are familiar with the tools, technologies and processes used in product design and development specific to building our native apps.</li> <li>The collaborative approach.
