CBC/Radio-Canada&rsquo;s Strategic Supply Management team is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for a one year contract to collaborate closely with the Digital Products Team. Strategic Supply Management develops and executes strategic sourcing and category management programs to leverage CBC&rsquo;s buying power while adhering to the procurement policies, &nbsp;also assists components with their procurement activities, negotiations.</p> <p>Reporting to the Executive Director, Strategic Sourcing Management, this is a newly created role dedicated to working with the Digital Team Product Managers. It is an opportunity to demonstrate how sourcing can shift from a support function to a strategic, value-adding activity. The individual in this role will be successful when procurement processes are simultaneously more efficient and effective, when costs decrease, and when external and internal relationships are stronger. You have a solid understanding of SaaS, contractor and professional services procurement. You&rsquo;re effective at making small changes that have a big impact. Ideally you have experience in an agile organization. Responsibilities: <p><strong>How you will make a difference:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Establish, implement and maintain corporate-wide sourcing strategies for assigned goods and services: <ul> <li>Determine requirements, analyze supplier industries, identify promising products and select preferred vendors and develop negotiating strategy.</li> <li>Manage the life cycle of each vendor and enlarge the vendor base as it relates to Requests for Supply Arrangements (RFSAs).</li> <li>Manage vendors specializing in procurement accelerators (i.e., Gartner, Real Story group).</li> </ul> </li> <li>Create, implement and manage the RFI/RFP process: <ul> <li>Review and evaluate proposals and supplier responses.</li> <li>Participate in negotiations with vendors, develop and document contract terms and inform business units.</li> <li>Manage communication with vendors prior to and during the sourcing process.</li> <li>Manage the Q&amp;A process, internally and externally.</li> <li>Organize all demos and related activities.</li> <li>Manage the evaluation and scoring of responses process.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Manage contracts, compliance and sourcing implementation: <ul> <li>Communicate sourcing approach to organization and manage negotiation agreement.</li> <li>Manage supplier relationships during transition period</li> <li>Propose to senior management, compliance policies for assigned goods and services.</li> <li>Resolve contract issues, deviations and non-compliance.</li> <li>Advise management on issues regarding demand management</li> <li>Monitor purchase activities by business units and by goods and services</li> </ul> </li> <li>Participate in continuously improving procurement across CBC/Radio-Canada, ( ie &nbsp;evolving the RFSA RFSO, and RFx&rsquo;s).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why join us?</strong></p> <p>CBC/Radio-Canada reflects the Canadian identity and promotes democracy. Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. You have a university degree and the Canadian Purchasing Professional designation.</li> <li>The experience. Several years in supply management and a direct understanding of best practices for sourcing professional, sales and contractor services. Ideally, you have a background in broadcasting operations, digital products or a related technology field.</li> <li>The innovation. You are motivated and driven to solve complex problems and streamline processes. You can creatively develop and implement leading supply management practices, and new initiatives for internal and external clients. You are capable of challenging the conventional wisdom and self-confident in the face of resistance.</li> <li>The communication skills. Your written, verbal and presentation skills are outstanding. Bilingualism in English and French is definitely an asset. You are comfortable acting as the voice of the company in meetings and external events. You can build relationships with internal and external clients. &nbsp;You are persuasive can effectively negotiate complex agreements with suppliers, while maintaining the interest of the organization and good relationships with the supplier community.</li> <li>The interpersonal skills. You thrive in an autonomous but collaborative role as a critical player on a team. You can build relationships with internal and external clients and take on the role of leader or team member. You speak and act with a high level of awareness and sensitivity towards diversity within the organization.</li> <li>The analytical and continuous improvement approach.
