As the new Product Manager, Kids, you will help build this space.</p> <p>Our new Product Manager knows how to have channeled their inner-child to leverage what kids say, do or want, in order to create meaningful content for them. As a leader and voice of the team, you will inspire and provide the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. You will help teach the CBC how to think about younger audiences. You will follow our build-measure-learn product philosophy as you focus on creating a digital experience, UX research and testing practices for our younger audiences.</p> <p>Your advocacy will ensure that the CBC is welcoming to kids. On social, voice and emerging platforms, you&rsquo;ll help apply the CBC&rsquo;s knowledge to acquiring and engaging new audiences while ensuring kids&rsquo; and parents&rsquo; experiences will be discoverable.</p> <p><strong>Who you are</strong></p> <p>You are a creator and a child at heart. Responsibilities: <p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Engage, educate and empower people. You will foster a collaborative environment that follows an outcome-driven product management process. You will work closely with the Functional Manager to bring on new members that fit our culture.</li> <li>Create inclusive and engaging product experiences. You will lead a team and a vision to deliver outstanding digital engagement opportunities for Canadians.</li> <li>Apply Lean and Agile product development processes. You will lead the team through 2-3- week Agile sprints - informed by clear, measurable success goals - in the creation of the core feature set for the product offering. You will oversee the development and release of the content in a timely manner; reporting on metrics and presenting to executives.</li> <li>Reflect CBC&rsquo;s mandate. You will contribute to and help develop a long-term plan for the evolution of the designed experience of CBC&rsquo;s digital content products ensuring everything we build is fulfilling our mandate to inform, entertain and enlighten.</li> <li>Develop and maintain positive relationships. You will collaborate across digital product teams to leverage shared technology, frameworks and features where possible. You will work closely with other groups, departments and vendors to ensure activities are communicated, understood and performed collaboratively.</li> <li>Build a strategy. You will develop the product strategy and roadmap, outlining requirements, creating user stories and defining the scope and deliverables.</li> <li>Let out your inner child. On Kids Days in the office, you will play with puppets. Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. A University degree is preferred, but we know not everyone gains their skills this way.</li> <li>The passion. You have a passion for people and building teams. You understand and appreciate the need for high quality Canadian Kids content in the digital space. You have a deep understanding of how to inspire and guide the work of a team.</li> <li>The experience. You have 3-5 years managing a digital product or digital content development. You can nurture strong two-way relationships with technical teams, peers, executives and other stakeholders. You are familiar with the tools, technologies and processes used in product design and development.</li> <li>The knowledge. You are a strategic thinker and an idea-generator. You have the patience to consider all options before jumping into a decision and the imagination to put forward and inspire big ideas. You are very familiar and practiced in product management table stakes: Identifying problems to be solved, running experiments, managing backlogs and supporting a scrum-oriented product team. You are comfortable working with a variety of analytics tools, including Amplitude and Adobe Analytics.</li> <li>The communication skills. You have experience communicating and presenting product roadmaps with clarity around success, failures and learnings to senior leaders in order to enable evidenced-based decision making.</li> <li>The collaborative approach. You thrive in- and can foster- a team-focused environment. You can provide guidance and direction for teams. You know how to listen and you understand perspectives.</li> <li>The natural coaching style.
