We are looking for an Android Developer to join this exciting team that provides the full range of CBC Talk, Music, and Podcast audio content to millions of Canadians. Requirements: <p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>What you bring:</strong></p> <ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li>The experience. You have hands-on experience developing mobile apps. Web or desktop application development would be a bonus. You can defend your own ideas and challenge ours. You have experience with build processes and an understanding of continuous integration and the full mobile development life cycle including publishing to the Google Play store.&nbsp;</li> <li>The knowledge. You can develop in Kotlin and/ or Java&nbsp;(or you are willing to learn) and are comfortable requesting and parsing data from REST APIs. You are flexible with using both old and new Android libraries. You may have backend web, desktop or server side knowledge.</li> <li>The education. A Computer Science, Engineering degree or equivalent is preferred, but we know not everyone gains their app development skills this way.</li> <li>The desire to learn. You are continuously researching and keeping up to date, responding to change by learning and adapting. You have an interest in growing your exposure to emerging platforms like Car and TV Operating Systems or even expanding your knowledge to iOS.</li> <li>The collaborative approach. You have a team-focus and understand the concepts of collective responsibility and ownership. You are an excellent communicator who practices active listening and empathetic engagement across diverse perspectives.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li>The Agile experience.
