We need someone to leverage test-driven development and QA best practices to ensure the high-quality delivery of on-demand and live A/V content to millions of Canadians. You are ready to build products for our internal teams with a focus on performance, quality, and usability. You have a solid understanding of the underlying principles of software development and can pick up new technologies and languages with ease. A Computer Science, Engineering, Math degree or equivalent is preferred, but we know not everyone gains their programming skills this way. You have the knowledge and understanding of software development and testing best - and latest - practices.</li> <li>The technical knowledge. You are well-versed in test-driven development and have familiarity with CI/CD workflows such as Jenkins or Bamboo. You have strong experience with: <ul> <li>Modern frameworks for testing and automation</li> <li>Unit testing in JavaScript and Python</li> <li>UI testing in Cypress or similar</li> <li>Mutation testing with Stryker or similar</li> <li>JavaScript ES6 and TypeScript</li> </ul> </li> <li>The desire to learn. You can quickly pick up new tools and technologies. You have the ability to teach and mentor; particularly when it comes to test-driven development. Ideally, you are interested in growing your existing A/V technical knowledge.</li> <li>The exceptional collaborative skills. You are a team player. You enjoy working closely innovating solutions and solving problems within and across teams.</li> <li>The extras.
