Responsibilities: <p><strong>How you will make a difference, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Help develop a culture of collaboration, learning and improvement across the CBC&rsquo;s Digital Operations department.</li> <li>Lead the work of a team of 6+ developers, co-op students and QA analysts providing mentorship, coaching direction, formal performance evaluation and access to professional development, all resulting in happy and satisfied team members.</li> <li>Oversee the hiring pipeline for the department including resource planning, job fair attendance and digital networking.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. You have a post-secondary degree in a related field. Bilingualism in French and English and general broadcast knowledge are nice to have skills.</li> <li>The passion. You have a passion for people and building teams. You understand and appreciate digital content and technology.</li> <li>The leadership experience. You have 3+ years managing Agile product development teams. You can nurture strong two-way relationships with technical teams, peers, executives and external technological vendors.</li> <li>You have a deep understanding of how to inspire and guide the work of digital teams. You are familiar with the tools, technologies and processes used in software and UX development and QA.</li> <li>The corporate exposure. You can navigate and push the boundaries of a national organization. You understand how to work within the processes and use the significant budget as well as existing resources, tools and personnel to your advantage. You can adapt your approach to work through the layers of corporate culture effectively.</li> <li>The knowledge. You are a strategic thinker and highly aware of the importance of scalability. You have the patience to consider all options before jumping into a decision. You are motivated by building robust, reliable processes and solutions that are replicable.
