Reporting to the Senior Director of Media Presentation, we have an opening for a newly-created role, a Senior Web Presentation Manager. Responsibilities: <p><strong>How you will make a difference, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build strong relationships and represent the department with our primary stakeholders which include Digital Operations and Digital Strategy leadership and programming.</li> <li>Contribute to and execute on the department strategy developed with the Senior Director.</li> <li>Oversee the department&rsquo;s operations including daily and monthly reporting, technical performance measurement, communication of technical discrepancies and implementation of processes and workflows.</li> <li>Ensure the continuous improvement and evolution of the department through research, proofs- of-concept, risk assessment, business cases and budget proposals.</li> <li>Lead the work of a team of 12 digital presentation staff in Toronto and Montreal providing mentorship, direction, access to professional development as well as management of headcount.</li> <li>Influence live-stream and video-on-demand activities and operations for CBC and Radio-Canada.</li> <li>Implement projects such as our automated robot-based monitoring tool that will be used to ensure the content and user experience is intact.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. You have a post-secondary degree in a related field. Bilingualism in French and English and general broadcast knowledge is an asset.</li> <li>The passion. You have a passion for digital content, presentation and technology. You have 3+ years developing technologies, formats and platforms for digital content. You have a deep understanding of the trends in the consumption and presentation of digital content.</li> <li>The corporate exposure. You can adapt your approach to work through the layers of corporate culture effectively.</li> <li>The knowledge. You are a strategic thinker and highly aware of the importance of scalability. You have the patience to consider all options before jumping into a decision. You are motivated by building robust, reliable processes and solutions that are replicable. You are very familiar with industry best practices.</li> <li>The leadership skills. You have 3+ years managing people, leading teams and advising Senior Management.</li> <li>The relationship building finesse. You can nurture strong two-way relationships with peers, partners, clients, staff, senior managers and external technological vendors.</li> <li>The communication skills. You are skilled at presenting ideas and reports to senior stakeholders. You know how to listen and you understand perspectives.</li> <li>The collaborative approach. You are able and willing to work outside of regular working hours given the continuous operation of the department and area.
