MTIS is the team making it happen.</p> <p><strong>The opportunity</strong></p> <p>CBC/ Radio-Canada is currently carrying out major projects to implement its Workplace Strategy (WPS) across projects large and small in its portfolio. Locations include the Canadian Broadcast Centre in Toronto, the Maison de Radio-Canada in Montr&eacute;al, and regional sites across the country.&nbsp;</p> <p>We are looking for a Facilities Space Planner. Your role as a subject matter expert will be to champion the transformation of the corporate real estate portfolio and employee experience through the application of the WPS, strategic space design, and leading edge innovation. You will work closely with&nbsp;&nbsp;teams across Canada. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for developing, supporting, recommending and managing initiatives that apply the latest research, technology and learning in the field of space management.</p> <p><strong>Who you are and where are you now?</strong></p> <p>Whether you are at an architecture or design firm, a real estate corporation or a large organization, you are a designer, a planner and a thought leader. You want to move from carrying out someone else&rsquo;s directive to being directly involved in the thinking, planning and implementing phases, working side-by-side with the Director. You are looking for an end-to-end role where you will be involved in all aspects of the space management strategy from designing the vision to walking through the buildings post-move and experiencing the physical space that is a result of your planning.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>How you will make a difference:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Optimize the real estate portfolio. You will align our portfolio with corporate objectives, the needs of users and internal clients, and production requirements.</li> <li>Promote optimal space use and building efficiency. You will develop and apply a deep understanding of how space impacts employee experience. You will advise on best practices in space use and employee engagement. You will ensure ongoing compliance with space occupation policies, standards, and processes.</li> <li>Oversee the integration of functional programs. You will prepare and map out large-scale space scenarios (building footprint), conducting studies when necessary.&nbsp;</li> <li>Set priorities based on corporate plans. You will adapt concepts, supervise planning, as well as ensure the organization and execution of miscellaneous development projects.&nbsp;</li> <li>Plan. You will determine, allocate and oversee the efficient use of the human, financial and material resources assigned to you across Canada.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop and analyze internal and external benchmarking models. You will use market data, trends, studies and other analysis to support decision making.</li> <li>Lead and implement space planning activities. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders in projects that may vary in size and complexity.&nbsp;You will provide superior client service and manage change and conflict.</li> <li>Lead. Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. You have a degree or diploma plus equivalent experience in an appropriate design field (architecture, interior design, environmental design, etc.). You have proven expertise in the design of workplace environments.</li> <li>The experience. You have worked in real estate management and design experience for 7+ years and you can handle numerous projects and deadlines with minimum supervision.&nbsp;You have: <ul> <li>Proven track record of successfully developing, participating, executing and administering the space component of a sizable corporate or institutional real-estate portfolio.</li> <li>Knowledge of BOMA measurement standards, benchmarking knowledge, various space management tools and systems, as well as space management trends.</li> <li>Understanding of the applicable provincial standards, laws and regulations.</li> <li>Experience in the media industry is an asset.</li> </ul> </li> <li>The knowledge. You have expertise as an organization-wide change agent and solid experience with client service management within a large organization. You have extensive understanding of the construction and corporate real estate industries; architecture as a usable work space, sustainable development and current workplace user technologies and environments.</li> <li>The technical ability. You are proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office or Google-Suite.</li> <li>The communication skills. You are skilled at presenting ideas, building relationships, managing stakeholder expectations and relaying your opinions with sensitivity. You know how to listen and you understand perspectives. You have strengths in conflict and issue management.&nbsp;<span style="font-weight: 400;">Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.</span></li> <li>The collaborative leadership approach. You can guide and direct cross-functional teams, including space management individuals consultants, partners and vendors. You have good judgment, interpersonal, diplomatic and negotiation skills.</li> <li>The analytical skills. You are a problem-solver, a researcher and a detail-oriented planner. You can creatively develop new processes and workflows. You can innovate solutions to technical problems.</li> <li>The passion.
