MTIS is the team making it happen.</p> <p><strong>The opportunity</strong></p> <p>CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a Project Engineer, Storage and Networking to join us for a 12-month contract (with renewal) within our Engineering Department. CBC/Radio-Canada has one of the largest technological infrastructures and private networks in the world that uniquely deploys our content and services from coast-to-coast-to-coast. In this role, you will play a critical role in the design, optimization and delivery of projects including updating, installing, configuring, and testing of storage and network systems. You will ensure that the designs and system implementations you oversee are in accordance with CBC/Radio-Canada, accepted industry practices and applicable Federal and Provincial regulations. &nbsp;This is a Montreal-based role with the possibility of travel to Toronto.</p> <p><strong>Who you are and where are you now?</strong></p> <p>You are a Project Engineer, Storage and Networking with experience as a critical player and subject matter expert on storage and network installation projects and optimization initiatives in an enterprise environment such as banking or telecommunications. You can influence without authority and drive the project team towards successfully achieving goals. You are aware of modern, best practices and you thrive in an Agile environment. You may have experience working in both French and English.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

You will provide expert advice on and monitor the cost, timeframe and feasibility of capital requirements.</li> <li>Design. You will innovate practical solutions for virtualization and storage to allow more flexibility for the corporation.You will create and present concept designs, alternate solutions, schematics and more.</li> <li>Implementation and procurement. Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. You have a degree in Engineering and you are eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario.</li> <li>The experience. You have expertise in designing, planning and overseeing the implementation of virtualization and storage technologies. You have hands-on experience with Hyperconverged solutions and platforms; deploying large scale software of critical IT security and networking concepts. You work on the cutting edge of technology and pick up new tools quickly.</li> <li>The project management expertise. You can navigate business and financial decisions; negotiate contracts and conflicts; and drive the deliverables of major projects on time. You understand how to work within the processes and use the significant budget as well as existing resources, tools and personnel to your advantage. You are a strategic thinker with the motivation to think through complex issues, remove the roadblocks and innovate multiple solutions.</li> <li>The communication skills. You can nurture strong two-way relationships with peers, partners, clients, staff, senior managers and external technological vendors. You are skilled at presenting ideas, documenting processes and workflows and designing systems. You can relay your opinions with sensitivity.
