Overview: <br />Most work for Pigging and Decoking is project-based and dispatched out of the Red Deer Shop. You must be available to travel on short notice. As an Operator, you will be trained to operate and maintain specialized equipment.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Safely mobilizes equipment to and from client sites, company stations, and other facilities as directed.</li> <li>Sets up and operates specialty pigging equipment at facilities.</li> <li>Preparing the pigs with appendages and changing when needed.</li> <li>Ensures completion of accurate paperwork pertaining to execution and accuracy of scope of work.</li> <li>Provides mechanical support in the shop in order to repair and maintain equipment.</li> <li>Demonstrates through active and engaged participation in FLHA and ICE Card programs that Health and Safety are the first priority by adhering to all Company, Client, and Legislative HSE Policies and Procedures.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to travel throughout Canada and flexibility in scheduling is required.</li> <li>Operators are expected to maintain focus for the duration of a 12-hour shift with high attention to detail maintaining exceptional service to our clients.</li> <li>You will be required to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.</li> <li>Able to work at heights above 3 meters that may require the use of special fall restraint equipment.</li> <li>A mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to safety are critical to success in this position.</li> <li>You have the ability to manage work and adapt to changing work environments.</li> <li>Your strong communication skills allow you to excel in a team environment.</li> <li>Maintain a safe work environment by proactively demonstrating a You See It, You Own It attitude toward your personnel safety and that of your colleagues and the citizens in the communities we operate.</li> <li>Prior experience and training in Pigging/Decoking or industrial site experience is an asset.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>A valid Class 1 driver&rsquo;s license is a requirement.</li> <li>Must be able to drive a manual transmission.</li> <li>Valid ECS CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or OSSA BSO an asset, we will train for this.)</li> <li>H2S Alive Certification.</li> <li>Will have to produce a clean and current driver&rsquo;s abstract.</li> <li>Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><br /> <div> <h2 class="title">Additional Information</h2> </div> <div class="wysiwyg"> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
