The work is physical in nature where much of your day will be spent operating pigging equipment.&nbsp; The work varies day to day and you would be deployed to our various projects within the Pasadena area as well as throughout the state. &nbsp;</p> <p>Our Pigging and Decoking Operators provide support to refineries, petrochemical facilities and associated industrial complexes by cleaning pipes and pipelines by means of hydraulically propelling a mechanical pig through the line.</p> <p>This position is for the mechanically inclined operator &ndash; if you have experience in mechanical or pigging&nbsp;that is an asset.</p> <p>Hours of work are based off of client schedules as such the shifts vary greatly when the team is deployed to projects. At a minimum we work Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PM.</p> </div> </section>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Safely mobilize equipment to and from client sites, company stations, and other facilities as directed</li> <li>Set up and operate specialty pigging equipment to clean systems at facilities</li> <li>Provide mechanical troubleshooting support in the field in order to ensure pigging equipment maintains operable</li> <li>Provide mechanical support in the shop in order to repair and maintain equipment</li> <li>Ensure completion of accurate paperwork pertaining to execution of scope of work in order to provide the client with accurate records of operation</li> <li>Proactively ensure that all personal training requirements are met and maintained</li> <li>Maintain open and truthful dialogue with Supervisors, Project Managers and Operations Manager to ensure understanding of scope of work and job readiness</li> <li>Haul hoses, PPE, and tools to where the work is being done</li> <li>Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs</li> <li>Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>1+ year of industrial experience, preference given to those with pigging and decoking experience</li> <li>CDL Class A driver&rsquo;s licence, no restrictions&nbsp;and a clean DOT driving record (asset but not required)</li> <li>Mechanically inclined</li> <li>Welding and fabrication experience would be an asset</li> <li>Onsite training will be provided but any knowledge of cleaning heaters, boilers and pipelines is considered an asset</li> <li>TWIC Card required</li> <li>Ability to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong mechanical aptitude</li> <li>You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment</li> <li>Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)</li> <li>Work outdoors in harsh weather conditions</li> <li>You&rsquo;re happiest working in a team, sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safely</li> </ul> <br /> <div> <h2 class="title">Additional Information</h2> </div> <div class="wysiwyg"> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.&nbsp; They are not intended to be an exhausted list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.</p> <p>At CEDA, we are an equal opportunity employer and greatly promote and foster a diverse workforce.
