Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)</li> <li>Fabricate and weld piping/equipment supports, brackets, and guides</li> <li>Learn to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements</li> <li>Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines</li> <li>Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools</li> <li>Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems</li> <li>Test system for leaks using testing equipment</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>Role Specifications:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Must currently be registered as an apprentice with Alberta Industry Training</li> <li>1+ years labourer experience is an asset</li> <li>Valid Class 5 licence (non GDL) with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required</li> <li>The following tickets will be provided if you don&rsquo;t already have them: H2S Alive, Confined Space - Entry &amp; Monitor, CSO or CSTS-09, Fall Protection &amp; Mobile Elevated Work Platform</li> <li>Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test</li> </ul> <p><strong><br />Skills:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment</li> <li>Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis</li> <li>Ability to work well in both independent and team environments and manage multiple tasks</li> </ul>
