Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Key member of the Regional Leadership Team responsible for strategy</li> <li>Key liaison and financial adviser to Regional team in establishing controls, budgets and performance metrics&nbsp;</li> <li>Work alongside the Regional VP in developing results oriented business plans, cost saving initiatives and bid submissions to ensure the future growth and profitability of the operating unit</li> <li>Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in conjunction with operating unit</li> <li>Manage full cycle accounting function, which includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general ledger reconciliation</li> <li>Steward monthly accounting procedures to ensure financial activities are captured and reported in accordance with Company policies and GAAP</li> <li>Review and analyse monthly financial statements to ensure the timeliness and integrity of the business unit&rsquo;s financial results</li> <li>Prepare and communicate month-end reporting package</li> <li>Develop, implement and monitor control and process improvement initiatives within the operating unit</li> <li>Support year end audit requirements</li> <li>Assist in financial system design and implementation</li> <li>Assist in&nbsp;integrations and other special project work as required&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Business diploma or University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required</li> <li>A professional accounting designation - CPA (preferred), CMA or CGA&nbsp;is required</li> <li>7+ years progressive accounting related experience in a management capacity</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of accounting and control practices is a must</li> <li>Knowledge of oil and gas, energy or industrial service industries an asset</li> <li>Exposure to a &ldquo;daily field capture&rdquo; system would be an asset</li> <li>Strong computer skills &ndash; Financial/Project Accounting applications &ndash; ERP experience would be an asset, Excel, Word, Outlook</li> </ul>
