Overview: <p>The Pigging/Decoking Operator will operate and maintain specialized equipment such as Decoking Pumpers. Based out of our Red Deer operation, this hourly position will report directly to our Operations Manager. There are advancement opportunities within the CEDA group of companies for those who demonstrate ambition and excellence</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Operating specialty equipment such as our Decoking Pumpers</li> <li>Rigging the Decoking Pumpers in and out</li> <li>Preparing the pigs with appendages and changing when needed</li> <li>Completing required paperwork for projects and jobs</li> <li>Performing minor maintenance and checks on company vehicles</li> <li>Repairing valves as required on site and in the shop</li> <li>Complying with company and site policies and procedures</li> <li>Participating in toolbox talks</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Role Specifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis</li> <li>Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test</li> <li>Produce a clean and current driver&rsquo;s abstract</li> <li>Mechanically inclined</li> <li>Ability to travel throughout Alberta and flexibility in scheduling is required</li> <li>Your prior experience and training in Pigging/Decoking or industrial site experience is an asset</li> <li>Your Class&nbsp;1 license is an asset</li> <li>Your strong attention to detail allows you provide exceptional services to our clients</li> <li>You have the ability to manage work and adapt to changing work environments</li> <li>You are self-motivated and seek opportunities for personal development</li> <li>Your strong communication skills allow you to excel in a team environment</li> <li>You are committed to Health and Safety</li> <li>You have knowledge maintaining Diesel engines</li> <li>Able to work at heights above 3 meters that may require the use of special fall restraint equipment</li> <li>Able to work in confined spaces such as a tank</li> <li>Able to work under extreme temperatures</li> </ul>
