And we're agile, which means you can make a difference with your career, while learning, growing and having fun!</div> <div> <p><strong>Opportunity Summary</strong>&nbsp;</p> </div> <div> <p>The Project Accountant is responsible for&nbsp;all accounting&nbsp;activity related to audio visual installation projects including project and budget creation in the accounting system&rsquo;s project module, revenue recognition, management of sales tax, and client invoicing among other duties.&nbsp;<br /><br /><br /></p> <h4><strong>COMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY</strong></h4> <ul> <li>The salary range for a Project Accountant can range from $65,500 to $83,750 per year.</li> <li>The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be in or near that range.</li> <li>Individual pay is determined by different factors, including work experience, geographic location, job-related skills, education level, position specific technical certifications, and additional trainings completed.</li> <li>All health and wellness benefits will begin on Day 1 of employment. There is no mandatory 90-day waiting period.</li> </ul> </div>
Responsibilities: <div> <div> <p><strong>Project Accounting - 50%</strong></p> </div> <div> <ul> <li>Set up projects based on contracts, including project budgets, within Microsoft Dynamic&rsquo;s Great Plains (GP) Accounting software.</li> <li>Interface with Project Managers to&nbsp;determine&nbsp;status (percent-of-completion) of&nbsp;Audio Visual&nbsp;projects.</li> <li>Recognize Revenue, based on information from Project Managers on percent-of-project completion, using the Project Accounting Module within Great Plains.</li> <li>Prepare client invoices based on proposal terms, payment schedule&nbsp;and project status to include AIA type contractor progress billings.&nbsp;Enter invoice information into&nbsp;Cenero&nbsp;Data Systems (CDS).</li> <li>Process&nbsp;project-related&nbsp;monthly&nbsp;sales tax&nbsp;invoices in support of CFO state sales tax reporting.</li> <li>Identify which projects are generating or consuming cash.</li> <li>Create visibility into financial discrepancies between actual and estimated expenses during the project.</li> <li>Track both internal change orders and customer change orders.</li> <li>Tie project accounting to time and attendance productivity tracking.</li> <li>Interface and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;information in CDS as&nbsp;required.</li> <li>Respond effectively to sensitive&nbsp;customer requests,&nbsp;inquiries&nbsp;or concerns.</li> <li>Position requires extreme attention to detail and accuracy.</li> <li>Other duties and tasks as assigned.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Collections Accounting - 50%</strong>&nbsp;</p> </div> </div> <div> <div> <ul> <li>Manages the accounts receivable portfolio, focusing on collecting outstanding invoices, reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and resolving payment discrepancies.</li> <li>Contact customers, negotiate payment plans, and update financial records while maintaining positive client relationships.</li> <li>Invoice Collection<strong>:</strong>&nbsp;Contact clients via phone and email regarding overdue accounts to secure timely payments. Maintain records of collection activities. Investigate billing disputes and process adjustments to the correct accounts.</li> <li>Account Management:&nbsp;Reconcile customer accounts, research payment discrepancies, and manage high-volume B2B or B2C accounts receivable.</li> </ul> </div> </div>
