Overview: <p>If you love EB Audit, you will love this role.&nbsp; YOU will be the point person for our client's Cincinnati office.&nbsp; You will be the integral client-facing contact and part of a significant business line for the firm. Don't worry the role is more than just EB plus you will have the autonomy and flexibility to do what you do - this is why they win awards for their work environment and culture.<br /><br />The routine information is below but please know this is not an organizational chart backfill.&nbsp; They want the right fit.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />They have a diverse client base ranging from construction, manufacturing, closely-held businesses, private equity firms and a few other sectors.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Lead Audits within the commercial and employee benefit plan (specifically, limited scope 401(k) plans) sectors.</li> <li>Possess strong technical skills, maintains high attention to detail, provides for a high-quality work product, and ensures application of professional and firm standards.</li> <li>Collaborate with firmwide EB team.</li> <li>Meets time constraints and client deadlines; effectively manages projects based on responsibilities assigned.</li> <li>Provides supervision and on-the-job training to team members assigned to engagement.</li> <li>Develops work plan, budget, and staffing.</li> <li>Proposes scope of testing required in an Assurance engagement and selects the transactions to be tested.</li> <li>Prepares routine correspondence to client for approval and signature of a manager or partner.</li> <li>Performs the broadest range of necessary tasks so that direct participation of managers or partners is kept to a minimum.</li> <li>Performs other accounting and assurance duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by management personnel.</li> <li>Set individual goals that support engagement, departmental and firm goals.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Education, Experience, and Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.</li> <li>A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Assurance area of public accounting.</li> <li>Current and valid CPA license required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Expectations:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Respect and earn the respect of fellow team members</li> <li>Take ownership of identified processes and responsibilities</li> <li>Keep open communications with manager, team and leadership</li> <li>Perform work with confidence and pride, follow through to completion</li> <li>Make informed decisions &ndash; discuss with manager when needed</li> <li>Grow and learn from past mistakes</li> <li>Work in a safe, clean and employee friendly atmosphere</li> <li>Work personal/professional development plan</li> <li>Must have flexibility with work schedule</li> </ul>
