Overview: <p>The Data Entry Technician enters data into a health information system such as paper claims and attachments. Entering duties may include collecting data from various sources, maintaining electronic records and logs, running reports, filing paperwork, and operating office equipment. In this key role, the candidate will demonstrate usage of proper spelling and grammar to correctly enter data into computerized systems; type accurately and quickly; produce a variety of difficult, and complex materials requiring the utilization of advanced keyboarding and correction skills. This position is in Cheyenne, Wyoming. &nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Enter paper claims and attachments that include:</li> <ul> <li>Scanning and indexing of paper claims and attachments into image format for use by Adjustment Examiner.</li> <li>Matching attachments to claims.</li> <li>Maintain images within the claims workflow process and associated with the claims presented for adjudication.</li> <li>Ensure accuracy of Optical Character Recognition within the claims data entry system.</li> <li>Prepare paper claims inventory reports and perform daily reconciliation of claims input to claims received by the system.</li> <li>Perform mailroom operations and full capability for data entry of claims.</li> </ul> <li>Use ADA billing forms and perform direct data entry into core claims screens that align with the form and are HIPAA 5010 compliant.</li> <li>Use a keyboard or data entry terminal alpha and numeric data.</li> <li>Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with procedures before entry.</li> <li>Review discrepancies in data received, request clarification or advise supervisor on issues related to data, and perform data verification routines per procedures.</li> <li>Batch and route documents.</li> <li>Generate reports, charts, and graphs.</li> <li>Operate peripheral equipment such as scanners, printers, modems, and disk drives.</li> <li>Maintain statistics using spreadsheets.</li> <li>Perform other duties such as some general office duties, including compiling information, calculating data, keeping records, picking up mail from Post Office, and maintaining files.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>You are a High School graduate or have equivalent experience.</li> <li>You are available to work from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Mountain Time on all State business days, Monday through Friday (excluding Wyoming State holidays).</li> <li>You have thorough knowledge of the principles of writing and grammar, including proper report and correspondence format, correct spelling and proper word usage, and punctuation and sentence structure.</li> <li>You understand&nbsp;the procedures and regulations governing the area of assignment, and the terminology and documents used, and can apply that knowledge to the operations of the office.</li> <li>You can pay strong attention to details and accuracy.</li> <li>You can evaluate and select the most appropriate option based on the criteria for assignment.</li> <li>You are proficient&nbsp;in Microsoft Office Windows, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li> <li>You can develop and maintain effective time management system to manage multiple projects with multiple timeframes.</li> <li>You can plan and prioritize assignments and can meet various deadlines.</li> <li>You can interact in a professional and courteous manner; communicate efficiently and effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and external customers.</li> <li>You can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the public and others.</li> <li>You can work well under pressure, with some interruptions, and in a team/group setting; and are dependable in both production and attendance.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>About Us:&nbsp;</em></strong></p> <p>At CNSI, we strive to be the market leader and most trusted partner for innovative and transformative technology-enabled solutions that improve health outcomes and reduce costs.
